I'm running LMW 7.7.1 and had enabled the Trackstat plugin but then disabled it before actually doing anything. However every track title (using my IPad2 via Squeezepad) now shows the following title format: Humpty Dumpty (TRACKSTATRATINGDYNAMIC) How do I lose the TRACKSTAT stuff ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Recently (within last few months) I have been experiencing a few seconds of stalled music playback when navigating into BBC iPlayer's BBC Radio 4 Audio on demand menu. The Radio 3 menu is fine. The stall occurs on my SheevaPlug computer when playing out on my SB Classic player. Generally I don't have the problem playing out on my SB Radio when direct streaming, but proxied streaming exhibits the same behaviour. I don't appear to have the problem when using my middle-aged iMac (PPC) as a server. The SheevaPlug is somewhat underpowered in relation to the iMac, but perhaps comparable to, or even better than, some NAS based platforms. I suspect that the combination of a relatively large Radio 4 AOD listing and a relatively underpowered server is the immediate cause of the problem. I've appended a log (formats.XML info) which indicates that processing the returned listing takes approximately 6 seconds. On the iMac the same process takes about 2 seconds. I am wondering if 6 seconds is too long for the server to stream without interruption. I'd like to cure the problem. An 'easy' solution might be to simply persuade the server to buffer more audio. Is this possible ? Any suggestions would be welcome. I have been streaming both direct AAC from various sources RTMP. I should have mentioned that. Experiment indicates that the problem doesn't occur with MP3 or WMA streams, presumably because the SBS Classic is fetching them directly. So I think that the 6 seconds is very likely to be the cause of my problem. I may be the only one experiencing this. Perhaps more likely is that I'm the only one foolish enough to 'bother' with pursuing it ! After all, it's not exactly a show stopper. Pro tem I shall disable BBC iPlayer's 'Allow Transcoding' option. I have no knowledge of BBC WMA/MP3 stream availability, but other posts I have read seem to indicate that a 'full service' is available, although at perhaps reduced quality. I describe my audio system as Medium-Fi, so perhaps I shall have no real issue with reduced quality streams. A little further tinkering has indicated that 'XML::Simple::XMLin' consumes 5 out of the 6 seconds. I have also chanced across the existence of 'MAIN::idleStreams'. Would I be right in thinking that, in principle, a longer running plug-in might call that periodically, if a delay actually matters ? -- mrw mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Clock Configuration help
In addition to having Custom Clock (and Helper) installed, you also need SuperDateTime. Once SDT is installed you need to change it's options in two places. Via your web browser, open logitech Media Server and find SuperDateTime under the Plugins tab. At the right side click on SETTINGS. When that is set the way you want, click on the PLAYER tab in LMS. Towards the upper left you'll see the player name and next to it a drop-down menu. Drop it down and select SuperDateTime. This is where you can find all the format strings you're looking for. I found it best to print out the list and then go back to Custom Clock Helper make the changes you desire. It's a little confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Using Custom Clock Helper, take a look at the settings and strings used in other templates. Find one that's close to what you want and then modify it as desired. You can't break anything. You can always restore the original by checking the box Restore to online version or delete if only available locally -- phred phred's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93468 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

On my system it uses XML::Parser, in particular XML::Parser:Tree, before entering into its own recursive 'collapse' sub. The 5 seconds seems to break very roughly 40/60 between the two. (b) override 'collapse' such that it, too, calls idleStream, if appropriate, each time it is entered. That might all be packaged into a sub-class. For those users of BBCiPlayer plugins and BBC Radio applets with a Touch who notice occasional audio glitches on Radio 3 HD and Radio 3 listen again streams (the Flash AAC versions), firmware 7.7.2 r9598 contains a fix for this. It turns out that the firmware was corrupting the audio data when one of the internal buffers wrapped, at 3 M byte intervals. This equates to every ~78 seconds for the 320k bit Radio 3 HD streams. Thanks are due to Jonathan who contacted me direct about this and collected enough data to prove when it occured. Please could others test and verify. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

To enjoy MOG on this device, upgrade to Primo at mog.com/upgrade Is the Primo $9.99/month account actually required, or does a $4.99/month Basic account work? The little bit of info about the Basic account mentions it working with Roku players, but there's nothing about Squeezebox. -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93475 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I recall someone posting that the $4.99 worked with squeezebox but I can't confirm. I went with the 9.99 because I also wanted access on my iphone and ipad. -- garym *Location 1:* VB Appliance 6TB (1.10) LMS 7.7.1 Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VB Appliance 3TB (2.0) LMS 7.7.1 Touch Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) LMS 7.7.1 SqueezePlay Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controllers: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93475 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread
New versions are announced here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81685page=99 FYI, Muso doesn't write edited database attributes back to the song file metadata, the database is considered private to muso - i.e. muso cannot be used as a tag editor. Muso does use the tag information to set up the database attributes initially on a file/folder scan, but not on a sych with LMS (it uses the LMS attributes from its database in this case). So, muso's next version will be reading SOLOIST or SOLOISTS ogg vorbis comments on a folder scan into the Performer field. -- jezbo -- muso developer jezbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Moose 0.76 Windows SqueezeboxClient
Love Moose (it's a handy use for my wall-mounted screen when I'm not watching video) but I can't get the disable screen saver to work - nothing error-wise to report - it just doesn't disable the screen saver. This is on Windows 7 (64-bit). I've tried setting the screensaver setting by starting Moose with UAC on and off, it just doesn't seem to work, any ideas why? I just have to remember to move the mouse around every 10 minutes or so to stop it kicking in :( -- ForestChav ForestChav's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=54064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89447 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

pippin;688386 Wrote: Well, iPeng has to run to be able to do that, iPhone doesn't wake up background Apps when a call comes in, why should it? The next release (currently waiting for App Store approval) will have a changed behavior for background execution that I originally added for another purpose (being able to use the lock screen for volume/skip/pause and the volume keys) but that works with call pausing, too: If you enable Settings-iPeng Settings-Preserve Connection iPeng will stay active in the background for up to an hour, during this time Pause on call will work. But please be aware that this costs some battery. Preserve connection did the trick, thanks! Looking forward to the long term solution but happy in the meantime. -- mps mps's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36351 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Interesting, but this should only work behind the screen saver and not in the background, right? That was the change to be coming Oh, and which iOS version is this? I thought it would not work in iOS 5 (until the next update). There is nothing else I can do in the long term, the App has to be awake and there is no other way to make sure it is other than keeping it running. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote and *New: iPeng for iPad*, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Is it possible to use iPeng playback when I remotely connect to my server with https/ssl tunneling (as described in the following wiki page: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Connecting_remotely ). I have set up the proxy thingy to redirect incoming request to port 9000 internally. I can enter the server fine in iPeng settings, but it doesn't connect. I guess because it is sending packets on port 3483. I tried the same proxy thingy for this port but it still doesn't work. Maybe something else needs to be done? When I have port 9000 open on my router, I can connect fine to the remote server (using http://myserver.com rather then https://myserver.com). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Does only the playback not connect or does already the remote control connection fail? If remote control works you should at least find your library. If it's the playback only you've probably used a different port from 9000 externally which doesn't work, the external and internal port always have to be the same because the server keeps telling the player to use port 9000 otherwise. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote and *New: iPeng for iPad*, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread
There's no field in muso to put Label/Publisher yet - I can create the db field quickly enough, but to put this in the various views - plus perhaps a browse by Label option - will take a little longer. But that is in the plans. -- jezbo -- muso developer jezbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
