No not for windows at present and its only the bitstream which is read
direct - all the control functions are via LMS. (Actually only reads
direct if playing from the start of the file, not synced and no
transcoding.)

Hi Jezbo,

Can I please make a small feature request?

Can you make the Group Header text size (and possibly colour)
configurable?
With my current settings I find that the header text is significantly
larger than the track titles and this makes the track list a little
messy.
See attached image for example.

Thanks.

Can I see your Options/Appearance tab? Have you played with relative
font sizes there? Or have you just made everything larger? You certainly
have some large fonts there, is this for display on a TV?

NB. Colours can only be changed by copying and editing the dark theme -
possible now but it requires knowledge of css.

I may need to add configurability of the group header yes, I'll check it
out.

I'm afraid the header is fixed size and it will be a huge task to change
this, so this may happen if your fonts are so large and the content to
be displayed long. The only thing I could do as an option is look to
truncate the header text so it always appears on one line, but then of
course you lose some information (possibly still available on hover).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2013-01-22 Thread mherger

I just released SmartMix 1.0.0. The only changes on top of previous
releases are:

- I unified the Blender's Play static list and Play this recipe into
Play this mix. The two options we had before were causing quite some
confusion when people changed the music source settings. The new Play
this mix button would play all tracks as shown in the Blender, followed
by mixing dynamically in according to the recipe. If none of the tracks
shown can be played then it would behave as Play this recipe before.

- An incremental export of your tracks after a Scan for new and updated
files would crash if there were many changed items. I added some code
to fall back to some slower, but more robust method in those cases.

Have fun! And post your recipes ;-)

Yes I do have a high zoom factor.

I'm using a high res 21 screen (1680 x 1050) but viewed from a larger
distance than normal so need to increase the zoom to make it readable
(especially with my not great eyes).

I'll have a play with the CSS - it's a long time since I did any CSS
editing but will have a look.

The issue with the wrapping is very minor so don't worry too much about
a fix.

I'll talk you through changing the CSS for the track group header. First
go to the folder C:\Users\Public\Music\muso\themes (this is what it will
be on Windows 7 anyway, I'll put in a link button to go there in the
next version). You should see two sub-folders, Light and Dark. Copy the
Dark theme folder and rename the copy something specific to you My Dark
Theme for example, so now you see:

14289

Go into the My Dark Theme folder, then the css sub-folder. In here
you should find a theme.css file - edit it and find the trackGroupHeader
class rule which should look like this:

.trackGroupHeader
{
color: whitesmoke;
margin-top: 6px;
}

Edit it to this:

.trackGroupHeader
{
color: gold;
margin-top: 6px;
font-size: 60%
}

This will make the track group header 60% of it's natural size, and also
colour it gold. Save the file. (Re)Start muso and go to the
Options/Appearance tab. Change your theme to My Dark Theme:

14290

Then an album track group header display should appear something like
this:

14291

No. As you said the export happens as part of the scan.

The plugin does export some metadata of your music collection (most
importantly track/artist names) to TEN. Only this way it is possible to
create mixes using your local tracks only, or mixes influenced by what you
have in your collection.

 It's weird though. According to the plugins page in the settings I have
 version 0.16 installed and the latest squeezeboxserver as well but still
 get Bad Youtube URL when pasting i an url
 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0mtZapDH_Y)in the Youtube url input
 box. =/

That's been broken for well over a year now. Nobody has taken a look at
that part of the code. It's a shame because when you get a private
(i.e. non-searchable) link it would be the only way to play it on
Squeezebox.

Well, just change the link like in my example (extract the hash from the
v=whatever token and build a youtube://whatever link).
That's what iPeng does to play YouTube links and it works well.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2013-01-22 Thread wonder boy

One of the joys for me with this wonderful plugin and spotify is the
similar artists click. I am discovering loads of new music but find I
can't add new artists to the library from this route but need to go back
and search for them before I can add them to the library. Am I missing
something or is this a limitation of spotify/the plugin?

 now has a Beta version of the library in native armv6 hard-float. i.e.
 not the (albeit very clever!) bodge that's been discussed in the last
 few posts.

 Triode, will you be producing a version that uses this ?

Yes - somewhat coinsidentally this was released at the same time I asked
them about the bodge. I would prefer to use the new library, but it may
mean I need to remove radio features as I don't believe they are
stupported in 12.1 - I will look into and post the status once I
understand this.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2013-01-22 Thread ubermes

Hi,
I wonder if it would be possible to add the possibility to dynamically
update/improve a mix in the same way as when playing via Pandora.
In Pandora one can thumb up or down songs playing in the mix and one can
also add more artists or more songs. In that way the currently playing
mix is refined.

My idea is that first a song-mix is created from the currently playing
song, and then one can thumb up/down the songs playing, and finally one
can save the mix as a new recipe that one can continue playing later.

 I don't know, it worked when I did my system testing. Are you doing it
 from the Album page or the Now Playing track page? And where are your
 images? Local or remote? A pic of your muso/LMS equivalences might be
 useful.

 EDIT: Never mind, I think I found it - your images are on a local drive
 right? Or referenced via drive mapping? In which case try 1.5.09

It looks it is working now.
Thanks

Only reason for this is the wonders of windows meaning the common code
used for other platforms doesn't work on windows so this feature is
disabled. I doubt there is any significant benefit on windows due to
the likely higher cpu power of windows machines; but may return to this
to see if it could be added if people think it's worthwhile.

yep, probably a bit of overkill, it is performing very well as it is.

Great, seems to be fixed with 0.99. I checked a couple of songs in my
catalog containing umlauts, accents, kanji and nordic characters and all
are correct (both request and TEN artist name/title).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2013-01-22 Thread mikk64

ok, I tried just few minutes ago
again, the export process was stopped at almost 170,000
and i think the export proceed from the older to the newer songs...or
not?
so, if it is so, my newest songs are not in the TEN catalog...yes?

isn't it possible to cut the export in few parts, if the library is
bigger than 100,000?
i mean, could it be wonderful and i don't care if it could take two or
free sessions of export
or maybe, it could restart the export from where it was left the time
before...
just thinking and asking...
thanks again, anyway! :)
