Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hi, I have a LMS 7.7.2 installed on the ReadyNAS Duo and an trying to get the Spotify plugin to work. However, the Helper App is not running. I dont have a problem running this from a PC on the network, but I would prefer to use it from my server instead. 1. Can the plugin be used from this NAS? 2. If it can, what could be the problem? I have tried to change the port no. I do not have a firewall on the NAS. I have read somwhere that the Helper app can be started manually but I am no computer whiz so I am a bit lost. Can anybody help? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX
Simply Brilliant, can't thank you enough. I've been so fed up with the slowness of my PC recently (AMD Phenom Quad) and all the junk my vista had accumulated over the years I took the plunge to rebuild to Windows 7 64bit so I could see all 4GB of my RAM. Rebuild went OK but a few stresses with Trackstat restore (70k tracks) which I figured was constantly crashing, only to not be leaving it long enough. Restore took close to 12 hours in the end !! LMS 7.7.2 was working fine 64bit but I just could not get Squeezeplay to work. The GUI would not pick up the Server but you could still play the music but the sound was really muffled. I was just about to go back to soft squeeze when I saw this thread. Simply Genius. Works perfectly direct from the Server Console. Plus if you install Squeezebox Desktop Gadget you can create a mini GUI if you don't want the full server console. If interested about the gadget, this was the original thread (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?74332-Announce-Desktop-Gadget-for-Windows). The developers site is dead but the latest release is still online at a gadget site (http://gallery-live.com/sidebar-gadgets/Squeezebox%20gadget?q=a=fp=fc=e=co=dlbtn) Again many thanks, long live squeezebox. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hello, I see that when locally playing through iPeng there is an option to bitrate limit, for example, over 3G. For this to work does bitrate limiting have to be set on the server under the player option? Does iPeng somehow tell the server to bitrate limit when needed? Also, I only see the bitrate limit option for the iPeng player, not for other players. Is it just a feature you have not gotten to yet? Or is there some limitation? Not sure if I need this feature or not. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
It does use the server's bitrate limiting (obviously, iPeng is on the wrong side of the stream to limit it) so you will need lame to be installed. It does, however, override the server's setting (the one you can access though the web interface) because iPeng supports different bitrates for 3G and WiFi so you have to use the setting in iPeng, the one in the web interface will have no effect. It's also only for iPeng itself because it's meant to allow for the two separate bitrates, for all other players, there's only the single option available through the web interface, I would guess one normally doesn't change that setting very often for most players. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have successfully streamed video from my house, when I outside somewhere over 3g, using plex or xbmc. Doesn't audio use far less bandwidth than audio? Depends An uncompressed WAV 96kHz/24bit audio stream will require more bandwidth than an H.264 video stream in HD resolution! pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi I just installed the trial version ... 1.0.1.17 on my win8 laptop. I provide the connection information but nothing more happens; it does not fetch the music library from the server like on WP, and no error information...?! Also on the WP version there are many more settings ie Refresh Collection but I understand that it is a first version. Send me a PM if you want me to try a debug version slate's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97998 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Tag them as compilation albums and they should get shown together, although probably under Various Artists. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98074 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Looking forward to continued development :) Edit: Btw it does connect to mysqueezebox atleast for me Hi, Thanks for testing. As for your questions / problems 1. By bringing down the TopApp-bar (RightClick or Swipe from Top) and clicking the settingsbutton (I know, bad Icon but I'm working on Another) you will be brought to the NowPlaying screen. In there you have the possibility to select other players and to sync them by pressing the on/off toggle button. (The Sync header is missing in current version) 2 - 3. A new version is in testing at Microsoft which should hopefully solve this issue. 4. On my todo list. 5. The favorites should be loaded upon player selection. This will be changed in an upcoming version As this is a very early version alot of functionality is missing but I'm working on this app daily and will release atleast one update a week to bring it up to par with my WP version functionality wise. All code is rewritten from the WP version to improve performance and the goal is to use this as a base for the upcoming Refresh of the WP as well. As for the connectivity issues, this has proven to be mostly Synology NAS that returns a responseheader which is not RFC compliant and in WinRT this is not possible to override without writing your own HTTP implentation over Sockets which will have to wait a Little while. 7Illusions's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44332 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97998 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
