I really think people need to start to think about software the same way
as other purchases. It's not like most people ask to taste the food on a
restaurant before they buy a 7 EUR meal, if they are hungry they just
 buy the food.

It might sound strange that this comes from me since I'm probably a bit
biased since I'm selling software myself, but if we want this community
to survive on longer terms we really need to support and encourage third
party developers in all possible ways we can.

Amen.

Make youtube-instant links in catalog optional
Support drag of album or track (or selected tracks in db grid) outside
of muso (drags the filespecs) - eg. into foobar or iTunes playlist.
PDF booklet links for album in remote control app (album view).
Increase robustness after reconnecting to different player on remote.

Hi,

Will the drag and drop functionality allow ctrl-C copy and paste as well
?

think software is a bit more complicated than a meal, that's why people
want a trial. A trial is just a marketing ploy, I think sales are
probably higher for those products that have trials. In the tablet world
the trial versions are funded by advertising, so lots of options for
covering the developers costs.

No, it just supports drag drop. I built this feature because, while I
use networked squeezebox devices as players, I wanted the ability to
drag individual albums or tracks into foobar on the PC for burning a CD,
without having to switch player.

I don't see how control-C/V (copy/paste) would work for whole albums or
tracks on the album/artist view since there's no concept of a focus
there (though there is on the db grid).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2013-10-16 Thread Michael Herger

Michael, That's it! I did have a couple of genres selected to skip.
Specifically I had Holiday, comedy, to be ignored. As you can guess it
was that , after comedy that was causing the problem. I deleted the
comma, re-scanned and Smart Mix works perfectly now. Thanks so much!

That's what I hoped to hear :-). Will make sure empty values are skipped
in the next version... Thanks for the report!

While the plugin's exporter seems to be doing _something_ (wasting 211

please check whether you have any value defined in the Genres to be

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2013-10-16 Thread kidhazy

Just noticed my SDT 5.9.16 is not showing the current temp from
wunderground.com

The log file shows:
[13-10-17 09:18:17.4437] Plugins::SuperDateTime::Plugin::gotErrorViaHTTP
(6445) error getting
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=IVICTORI285format=1

...propagated at
/C:\PROGRA~2\SQUEEZ~1\server\SqueezeSvr.exeNet/HTTP/NB.pm line 32.

If I manually hit the website
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=IVICTORI285format=1
I get:
Time,TemperatureF,DewpointF,PressureIn,WindDirection,WindDirectionDegrees,WindSpeedMPH,WindSpeedGustMPH,Humidity,HourlyPrecipIn,Conditions,Clouds,dailyrainin,SoftwareType,DateUTC

So, I'm not sure if it's wunderground.com that's changed it's format and
broken things, or what the issue is.

Any pointers?

Thanks.
