Testing again right now. Monday morning. Probably less users online =
Qobuz working. I suppose, the demand is simply too large for their
internet connections... Giving away free 1-month-trials may turn out to
be an effective way to piss off their paying customers!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Google Music Plugin

2014-09-14 Thread DannyKudos

Hello

I think I am almost there... My Google Music library is showing up, but
when I try and play something there is silence. Track looks likes its
playing on the player... gets up to about 2 mins and then starts
again...

I installed using the following (thanks @JimBrandon)

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install python-pip
sudo pip install gmusicapi
pip install git+https://github.com/simon-weber/Unoff...PI.git@develop
sudo apt-get install python-dev
sudo cpan App::cpanminus
sudo cpanm --notest Inline
sudo cpanm --notest Inline::Python

and installed the plugin from the depository.

I am running;
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.1 - 1410526679 @ Sat Sep 13 02:58:16
UTC 2014
on a PI B+ playing to a Squeezebox Touch.

Radio etc is playing fine.
Any help greatly appreciated...!

I'm in the same boat as you. Can manually run the helper program, all
IOS devices see all players on Airplay receivers, but when attempting to
airplay to them, I receive the "expected port number from decoder."

Any ideas?

IIRC, the radio function is not exposed in the API used for this plugin
(more a challenge with CORE than with anything a developer can do).
However I use the Similar Artists function to obtain a similar effect to
the radio function in Spotify. With iPeng, try My
Apps/Spotify/Search[enter artist to search]/Similar Artists Mix. This
should produce a playlist for you, 10 tracks at a time that continually
updates. Once you've searched on an artist, you can use the Recent
Artists option to find them quicker. Keep in mind that if you have
something playing while you run the search, you must first pause it
before selecting the Similar Artist option for you to receive a
playlist.

And if you're interested, you should also look in to the What Was That
Tune? plugin to allow you to go back in the random song stream and use
one that you like to start a new branch in a later listening session.
Good luck.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX

2014-09-14 Thread NPD

Local Player v1.6.3 does not start automatically. It doesn't appear in
the list of players and squeezelite doesn't appear in the list of
running processes.

SQUEEZEBOXSERVER IS IN THE AUDIO GROUP
AUDIO:X:29:NICHOLAS,SQUEEZEBOXSERVER

NO ERRORS IN THE SCANNER LOG
Starting Squeezelite:
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/LocalPlayer/Bin/squeezelite-i386
-d all=debug -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/localplayer.log -n
NPD-Office-HP-MediaCenter-LP

There's no mention of squeezelite in the server log.

I can manually start squeezelite in folder above from terminal with
this
./squeezelite-i386 -d all=debug -f
/var/log/squeezeboxserver/localplayer.log -n
NPD-Office-HP-MediaCenter-LP

Appreciate any input!

Sounds a little different, as I get no sound at all.

I'm seeing it on Radio 2, Radio 4, Radio 4 extra, Radio 6. In fact, I
suspect it's every channel.

I've had this problem for the last few weeks listening live to my local
station (Nottingham) - going through a stop / play cycle (sometimes a
few times!) and my Touch will come up with a dialogue box saying '
connection reset by host' after which it will play fine - checking the
connection confirms that it's now playing WMA.

I'm loathed to change the general option to play WMA only as - to my
ears at least - AAC sounds sonically superior and its only the local
station that I've had any problems with (up to now).

2014-09-14 Thread InTheBath

I've just had to change my settings for the plugin since Listen Live and
Listen Again streams all produced no sound.

Changing from the first option (AAC preferred) to the last option (WMA
only) seems to have sorted it out.
Don't know if I'm missing quality or other features, but at least it
works.

Anybody else had this issue today? I use the plugin every day for years
and love it.

M.

I was hoping it being an issue with my plugin, but as I see that others
have the same issue... I will try on a PC anyway to see if the same
problem occurs.
