Thanks for doing that ! I'm progressing on the plugin, almost all the
basics are here, one last hard thing to do: finding how to have a
per-player web page for individual configuration. As said before, I've
never used perl before and I'm more an (aging) embedded developers than
a web guy ... so this is a lot of learning

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse etc without mysqueezebox.com

2015-05-03 Thread erland

At the moment you will need a mysqueezebox.com account initially when
you set it up, this will likely change to some other kind of online
account in the future when mysqueezebox.com goes away.

However, you only need the mysqueezebox.com account initially when
setting it up, after it has been configured and the license validated
you can in theory ask Logitech to remove your mysqueezebox.com account
if you like to as long as you don't remove it from your LMS
Settings/mysqueezebox.com settings page in LMS.

If you don't want Logitech to be able to track you, you can register for
a temporary mail address which you only use for this purpose, for
example using gmail or yahoo or one of the other free mail providers.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer rebuffering

2015-05-03 Thread whitman

My listening, mostly On Demand via BBC Extras, still plagued with
rebuffering. This evening, for example, tried listening to Clare Teal,
R2 26-4-15, and died after a minute or so, so I restarted the stream,
successfully this time, but then rebuffering constantly after 20 minutes
or so.

Again, if it would help sort this out, I could provide a log, but I'd
need some guidance as it's ages since I've done that.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Triode Spotify Plugin on Synology NAS - spotifyd will not run

2015-05-03 Thread reesesys

Hi all,

I've been digging through the forums, initially in search of a reason
why Rhapsody stopped working, and then to figure out a Rhapsody
alternative that works well with the Squeezebox system.

NAS: Synology DS413 (CPU: FREESCALE QorIQ P1022 - Linux 2.6.32.12 ppc)
LMS: 7.7.3-042
Players: Duet and Radio

Spotify with the Triode plugin seemed like the best solution, however
spotifyd will not run. I dug through a lot of "Announce: Spotify
Premium Plugin" thread, but at 585 pages as of this writing finding
someone with the same problem is like looking for a needle in a
haystack.

Running spotifyd from a command prompt results in:

Code:

  > ./spotifyd
./spotifyd: line 1: syntax error: unexpected word (expecting ")")

Since this device is ppc and not arm or i386 I'm thinking this is the
end of the road. Am I right?

Any recommendations for another service that allows playing of entire
albums?

Thanks.

Doug

You also need to install an older SDK and specify it in the make.

I'll try to put together a script for you that does this, and builds a
universal binary with 32 and 64 bit support. That way you can maintain
the osx builds and I can scale back to only winxp and armv5.

The plugin is a great idea, looking forward to trying it out!
