It's simply more relaxed to read unformatted music infos in his preferred language. No, I installed V1.3 when forced to by iPlayer streams dropping out altogether and messing around with the OPML was a bit of a faff so I had a few months of "CBA" to mess around with it - no patching! I had to move the VB server this week so made the effort to get it working properly! Back to 1.5.X :- With the new settings, listen again is indeed up to 320kbps on both iPlayer and iPlayer Extras. You didn't describe your upgrade path except you were running 1.3.*. If, for example, you installed 1.3.x then did a bit of patching over 1.5 years, followed by maybe 1.4.* and then 1.5.x - I'd have no idea what settings may have changed over that upgrade. I was using these versions before http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103435-BBCiPlayer-Plugins-an-alternative-quick-fix-guide=iplayer which stopped working with Listen Again on iPlayer. I installed your beta V1.5.2 (a couple of LMS resets to complete both iPlayer and iPlayer Extras installations) and listen again worked on every station except 6 music. After changing one setting (Show On Air Text wasn't checked by default) 6 music listen again started working over an hour and a half later. I don't think checking the 2Show On Air Text" setting caused it to work, I think it was a cache issue? I wouldn't say clicking that one Livetext box would make the settings "in a mess" though? bpa wrote: > 1. BBCiPlayerExtra uses different source than BBCiPlayer to get menu > info. Streaming preferences on V1.5.2 are default HLS>MP3>FlashAAC>FlashMP3 for both live and listen again. "Allow Transcoding" is checked by default. There is only one tickbox in iPlayer Extras V1.9.5 - it says "Select if you do not want DASH streams". It is unchecked by default. bpa wrote: > There is no point in using the DASH plugin if you are not playing DASH. > There has been no changes to the HLS code - from your explanation I'm > pretty sure you are playing HLS for Live and FlashAAC for Extras - > neither of which have changed nor do I test or actively support them. I don't have any idea how to make it use DASH? With those default settings (text checkbox aside) the streams come out on LMS interface as: Listen again streams at 128kbps CBR AAC on V1.9.5 iPlayer Extras Listen Again streams at 128kbps CBR AAC LC on V1.5.2 iPlayer. Live streams at 339kbps CBR AAC LC on V1.5.2 iPlayer. (if I look on Squeeze Commander it also says "converted to 705kbps FLAC", which presumably is the effect of the "allow transcoding" tickbox). I'm updated to 2.40 sure . I use Fixed IP simply because the router is an apendix in my home network :) almost every player and stationary computers and servers have fixed ip and are coinected via switches . Hence me fumbling with the router or restarting it does not stop the music , the music system would work of the switches alone except one player and mobile apps . Amended the SSH passw via SSH . Have not tried the web-UI password feature again . The sympton is that the password i actually enter is not the one in use . I managed once with another browser than the one i used to set the password and added a blank space ? Set pw in iOS safari enter the web-UI via Firefox on Linux mint . Itried several times ? Can it be a keyboard setting somewhere ? I use Englidsh UI and a Swedish keyboard ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi Mynb, Sorry about the late response. I am happy that you are progressing! You should definitely get 2.40 and check out' our Changelog' (https://www.max2play.com/en/changelog-max2play/) to find out what has changed and what's been improved. The static IP feature simply has not been requested by a lot of users and we do not want to add features that might confuse or impede on the features more casual users are mainly using. Of course, you can always write a simple plugin for purposes like these and share it with the community. Flysurfer actually recently did 'a video on how easily you can create one' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWwQ0A1HoWY). Your issues with the Password plugin are not entirely clear. I just tested it to make sure there is no current error. You should just be able to enter a user and pw, save and then once you want to access the web interface it will ask you for a login on any browser. The SU restriction is also similarly to prevent new users from playing around in root. Regarding the command line options of Squeezelite for parameters we linked a list of all possible options in the web interface, here it is: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/command-line-options-for-squeezelite/ Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Last Mix works on Pogoplug E02!
I upgraded my LMS server, which runs on a Pogoplug E02 (see https://rmkrug.wordpress.com/2016/06/16/pogoplug-logitech-media-server-time-capsule/ for details), by giving it a new USB Flash drive (SanDisk Ultra Fit 16 GB USB Flash Drive USB 3.0 bis zu 130MB/s) and what a surprise: it works MUCH better - even LastMix with Qobuz backend works smooth! With the old Transcend flashdrive it was not usable. Thanks a lot Michael for this great plugin, Rainer -- Rainer M. FFS. [/B]I changed a setting called > "show on air text" and it started working. Not sure what is working for your but after initially saying settings are as installed it is clear you have changed some settings. Your upgrade path is not clear (no version detailed) so chances are your settings are now in a mess. Please give info and bcleasr and sepcifrci about what you are testing, what menus you are using nd what settings are in effect. Most critical - what are your Live ansd On Demand Stream preferences. There is no point in using the DASH plugin if you are not playing DASH. There has been no changes to the HLS code - from your explanation I'm pretty sure you are playing HLS for Live and FlashAAC for Extras - neither of which have changed nor do I test or actively support them. 1. BBCiPlayerExtra uses different source than BBCiPlayer to get menu info. There has been no changes to the the plugin code except to handle minor changes in format of info from BBC. So any delays and changes in behaviuour are either network related or more likely due to you BBCiPlayer Settings probably Streaming Preferences. 2. Making a change and then trying something then changing somehting and trying *exact same* thing again probably won't affect the outcome as LMS caches a lot of info and somehting changes will not take effect. I suspect your 6Music issues (are they Live, On demand or Extras streams - you don't say - detailed info please) may either be caused by conflicting settings (some station do not have all formats) or caching so stop LMS, delete cache and restart LMS. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
