LMS playlists? Does it come back when you load the playlist a second time? The metadata for remote playlist tracks is not stored permanently but needs to be read from Spotify again which takes more time than the server has to respond. That's why it's usual,y missing the first time. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem with Spotify Artwork
I've got a strange issue and I'll see if I can explain it here. I'm using the Spotify Protocol Handler plugin and the official Spotify app on Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1483028105. When I browse Spotify (using Squeezer app or web interface) I can see all the spotify artwork. However, once I add this to my own playlist the artwork for many tracks disappears. I have a couple of custom apps that need to access the artwork so it's a shame that this is getting lost. Does anyone have any ideas what's happening? You don't say but I suspect this is a "Live" only issue since you are using a Favorite. Can you confirm you get no startup delay with on-Demand. Since you are using Boom and Receiver transcoding is needed with AAC format. This is a Windows issue specifically the way transcoding has to be implemented (i.e using socketwrapper). Windows does something weird in interprocess buffering and seems to needs lots more data than Linux or OSX. I suggest increase the BBCiPlayer setting "Seconds to delay start live stream" to 1 min and see if it improves as this will increase the amount of data quickly available to player shortly after pressing play. The "LIve" Stream from RadioTime are in MP3 lower bitrate (also available in BBCiPlayer menu) and BBC says will discontinue them in the future. BBC iPlayer has an option (top tickbox in Settings) to change it from being under the Radio menu of the web console to being under the Apps menu. There is no such option for Extras, which always stays in the Radio menu. I think this is something to do with iPlayer and MySB compatibility. Is that checked? If you're using favourites, you're using stored URLs (which have changed over the years). If you go in via the iPlayer plugin and select a live stream from the Listen Live menu, does the stream start properly and are the URLs the same? Might just need an update. Ive started from post 1 and gone through all of the thread. I have to admit to not understanding most of it. I am a tecchie, but tends to be Windows related and some high level networking. No experience of streaming technologies. _SYSTEM_OVERVIEW_ My system is Fujitsu ESPRIMO E3521 Inter Core 3 Quad running at 2.83ghz 4GB RAM Windows 10 x64 1607 Wired Ethernet, reserved IP address Its pretty much sat there doing little else. I am in the UK on a Virgin Media 70mbps link. I am using Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 BBC iPlayer plugin v 1.5.2 BBC iPlayer Extras plugin v 1.9.5 Ive been using SBS and LMS for nearing 6-8 years, so its entirely possible that there is junk in the configuration somewhere, as Ive upgraded a number of OSes, SBS /LMS and likely plugin versions and settings over the years. My players are: Boom wifi Boom 2 wifi Duet Lounge wired I also had a couple of wired SB3s, but they have not been connected for months. The issue was also present using these players. They are normally all synced with each other, but for testing purposes Ive set them all as No Sync. Whilst players are not synced Ive used both the wifi Boom and the wired Duet as the test players. I get the same issue seemingly whether synchronised or not or wired or not. _THE_ISSUE_ I always use BBC iPlayer steams via my Favourites. Whenever I choose a BBC iPlayer stream, the stream may (or may not) start and within seconds will go quiet and Buffering n% is displayed. Audio may well start for a few seconds, or longer. I never use the Extras plugin. This behaviour will continue for maybe up to 15-20 mins and sometimes will then work for generally most of the day. Changing to another BBC iPlayer stream starts the issue all over again. This was the issue Ive had for many months, but its been getting worse. As a result, Ive recently upgraded to the latest LMS server (it was the old 7.5 from memory). I did not know that there were updates as the console was telling me I was at the latest version. I had to download the LMS update manually. Ive also updated the BBC iPlayer and BBC iPlayer Extras plugins. I had the old repo URL so I updated using the betarelease-repo.xml URL. I cant recall the old version, if this is important, then can you tell me the location of any possible logs? The Live and On Demand stream settings were set to HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC > FlashMP3 Ive now changed them to DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC> So now having updated the LMS and the plugins and changed to DASH, Im still having the same issues. It does seem that its only the BBC iPlayer streams that are affected. I can play BBC and other radio streams from RadioTime without issue. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce - Song info plugin for FIP radio
This is a plugin for FIP (a set of stations from Radio France).
Once installed and LMS has been restarted you should play one of the FIP
radio stations. If the plugin is working then you should see artist
details (artist/title/{cover}/{album}) appear around the time that a new
track starts.
FIP stations supported: FIP (including regional variants while they
last), FIP autour du ... Rock, Jazz, Groove, Monde, plus Tout Nouveau
and Evenement (Reggae at time of writing).
Note: FIP does not always provide track information in a timely manner -
so if you find that sometimes no new details arrive then check on the
FIP site to see if they have the same problem.
This plugin relies on the time on your local LMS server to be roughly
correct - timezone and time - because the local time is compared with
the scheduled time for each track at FIP
If things are not working then enable Debug logging for this plugin via
LMS/Settings/Advanced/Logging interface, repeat the problem and then
check the LMS logs.
You can configure whether or not to have the album name displayed.
Default is to show it (if provided by FIP) but as a consequence you will
no longer see the station name.
One anomaly with the data from FIP is that they provide the
name/title/album in upper case which doesn't look great so I convert
them but this can lead to some odd presentation - especially as they
replace apostrophe with space in their data ... so, for example ...
"I'll Be There" will end up as "I Ll Be There".

Done all the API and console stuff, successfully generated a Client ID and secret, got a code and entered it... It brings up some (very old) "recently played" tracks, and won't play them (goes to 0:00 and starts counting up anywhere between 1 and 5 seconds before giving up trying). The URL or video ID thing just hangs. It brings up my subscriptions and playlists no problem but won't play them. If I click on a subscription in my list, "Jonathan Pie" for instance, no drop down list appears. None of the searches work if you type something into the search box.
