Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Question. Maybe a bit off topic. I use Squeeze Commander to control daphile. Since three weeks the menu 'does not remember' its position when I switch to artwork/playlist and then go back. It will return to the main menu every time, which I find very annoying. I can't figure out what setting is wrong. I did install Qobuz lately, but not sure it is related to do with that. Any clue? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
It looks like the problem was a simple bug. All DASH files have an initial MPD which describes the stream. BBC changed the MPD format slightly by omitting a parameter (StartNumber) which previously had been present. This omission wasn't handled properly by plugin. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Accessing LMS in the Android Auto environment.
To be able to do that, the developers of the existing controllers need to leverage the Android Auto API. The possibilities for interaction however are very limited, it doesn't really go beyond play, pause, skip fwd, skip back. This means you'd need to prepare what you want to play before entering the Android Auto environment. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
I should have said that the programs I had trouble with were from Saturday and Sunday on Radio 3, and Thursday on Radio 4. As I mentioned, they all started ok but just stopped completely after a few minutes. I'm using Mac OS 10.12.3, and do have the Little Snitch firewall (technically it's not a firewall, but not sure what to call it) running, but that did not throw up any objections, which it does if it is blocking something. danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
Just to add to the information, using DASH on Listen Again for Radio 4 I got "There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.bbc.co.uk)". The 2nd time I tried it found the programmes but wouldn't play. I reverted to the HLS setting - OK so far. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 16.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 16.04 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. Also a Touch with EDO, plus spare, unused. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
For what it's worth, I'm seeing this on 1.4.9. ListenLive working fine on Radio 4, ListenAgain using DASH on Radio4 FM working fine for any programmes for Weds and earlier, but Thursday and later stuck connecting. ListenAgain appears to work fine again for Thursday and today now I've switched to HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC. I think I will continue to hold off moving to 1.5.2 until we find out what BBC have done now. Why can't they just leave it alone? Near the bottom of the list you will see Listen live (alt CDN). Yes I'be notived that issues but if you wait long enough it starts updating again. I couldbn't track down the problem but in preparing a new version I made changes to the area. However with current issue > Purely for academic reasons, I can't see how you select the alternative > menu for live streams using Limelight CDN in the settings? Use the "Listen Live - alt CDN" menu at the very bottom - scroll down. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

One thing I've noticed is that the metadata stops updating/changing after an hour or so. Not really a problem and I'd also noticed it in previous versions, but as the stream consistency has been improved and now doesn't require a 'restart' the quirk is more noticeable. Purely for academic reasons, I can't see how you select the alternative menu for live streams using Limelight CDN in the settings? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
iPlayer Extras was refusing to connect, so - following this thread - I changed the iPlayer settings as suggsested and used iPlayer instead of extras. For the three Listen Again programs I tried (two on Radio 3, one on Radio 4), they all started OK but simply stopped after a few minutes. I haven't tried logging to see what happened. I am in the UK. danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
