Hmm... I'm following the mailing list - which has developed some

it's really time to look into this. Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't think you'll be able to exactly replicate what you had when
using WU SDT. Use %!z instead of %_5 & %_7 for the forecast high or
low temp for the current period. Note you will only have the high temp
when the current period is today, and only low when it is tonight. Use
%y for the name of the current period.

"itemtype":"sdttext",

[SlimDevices: Plugins] RSS feeds of the forum software

2018-09-25 Thread Christian Schoepplein
Hi,

I am using the RSS feeds of the forum software to track the activity in the
different boards.

Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the forum software since the end
of August and the feeds are not updated any more :-(.

Does anyone have similar problems? Can someone take a look pleas and maybe fix
the problem? Michael, can you do this or who is responsible for the forum
software?

Cheers and thanks for taking a look and sorry if this is the wrong list to post

I recommend using period "-1". It is the "current" period be that
today or tonight. See below for defintions of what the non-tenday

Most of the suggestion are irrelevant as NpordVPN thinkyou are using a
browser.

Tell them you are using a dedicated DASH media player. No cache, no
incognito mode, no location active, no cybersec stuff.
DNS is same as PC. No webRTC. Do their request for IP address and
ipleak.net

Hello,

Thank you for your letter.

If you are still unable to access it, please try to do the following:

Check if your location services are disabled (GPS, etc.);
Clear your browser's cache completely (even if you tried before);
Disable CyberSec feature (MacOS(OpenVPN)/Windows/Android NordVPN
applications only);
Connect to any UK server;
Use the Incognito mode of your browser (optional);
If the issue persists, please try using a different browser.

Could you tell us what IP address are you seeing at

attach a screenshot taken at https://ipleak.net (WebRTC and DNS

These two will help us identify whether there are any issues with your

Let us know if you have further questions.

I'm confused then.

We both had spotty for the squeezebox option on both the PC and iphone
after auto authorizing and selecting the device. Even though I
authorized I still couldn't play until I went back into LMS and entered
my Spotify user name and password. Then that device disappeared for
everyone except me.

Hi,

I hope you can help. I've followed the steps above, several times,
including shutting down the server, deleting
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/cache.db, and restarting.

I still don't get the 30 (or 15) day listings.

My server version is 7.9.1, iPlayer 1.6.0.

Have I missed something crucial?

Thanks a lot.

You're right about the 32-bit part, but as that was already mentioned on
the havetheknowhow site (wit an older deprecated library, but still) I
hadn't mentioned it as a change in procedure.
The difference between the 2 approaches has to do with the difference
between the way services are launched: 'systemd<->sys v<->upstart'
(https://fossbytes.com/systemd-vs-sys-v-vs-upstart/). Systemd is the
most recent of the three and the default in Ubuntu since 15.04. I have
no idea why the original info on havetheknowhow worked for 16.04 which I
had previously but doesn't on 18.04. The service file I now created is
for systemd.

It shouldn't make any difference whether you add credentials manually or
through an app. The resulting credentials file would be the same.

BUT: don't confuse auth mode with being able to play! Spotty would
indeed announce itself in the network in auth mode, making it visible to
all devices. But you won't be able to play. As soon as you select that
device, the helper would end and save the credentials. You'll then have
to configure Spotty to expose your player(s) as Connect targets (see the
Spotty settings). And make sure the announcement in the network is not
disabled in Spotty.

If you had another computer to cross-test I'd be interested to know
whether this is just a Windows Vista issue. What you're describing
sounds rather unique (starting playback 30s in to the track). As is your
computer. I don't know whether I've seen anybody else trying Spotty on
Vista...

In infrequent intervals, mostly overnight, Spotty connect goes away.

I can still stream music from spotify to the SB, but the players do not
show up in the spotify app to connect to. In htop I see 3 instances
"spotty-hf -c".
Still RPi 3, Stretch Lite, Spotty 2.4.4

when I untick the connect box for one SB in the Settings, apply the
settings, tick the box again, apply again, connect appears again and I
can stream music from the spotify app to my players. In htop I see 3
"spotty-hf -c" and 3 "spotty-hf -n Squeezebox"
