Umm, blush, avoid eye contact. Smack self on head.

Of course, somehow I'd disabled Always Connected, and re-enabling solved
the problem.

Thanks, and sorry for the trouble.

Shairport works OK though but it could be related as it's obviously been
fixed since that issue was raised in 2016. Any info or changes you can
try from their resolution in Shairtunes?

audio I want to share from my phone)
Installed iTunes on a VM and it works OK. So now I'm really puzzled at
what the issue is as it works via Shairtunes from iTunes but not from
HTC Connect via Shairtunes, but it works flawlessly from HTC Connect via

I don't have a real SB, I'm setting up headless M2P stations instead.
That being said I did test it to installs on the Pi as well as 2 x
physical Windows machines and had the same result.
I haven't tried any other Airplay source as I haven't got anything else
I use. Is there a portable media client you'd suggest to try?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)

2019-01-11 Thread der_mechaniker

Hi Philippe,

thank you for that great plug-in.
After entering the API-key, I had no success in accessing any videos
with the youtube-Plugin in LMS.
I found the hint to reduce the number of search results, so i did reduce
the number from 200 to 20.
Now I am interested to know, what that means Do i get less results
when looking for videos? Is the search or the usability
limited by a reduced number of search results?

Nevertheless, once the plug-in is running, it is really fast and an
extreme enrichment of the LMS.
Thank you very much for keeping this alive!

Seeing similar behaviour here.

Running 7.9.2 on Windows 10 Home. Currently just Squeezelite + SB3.
Using Music Info screen when playing music & this behaviour seen on SB3.
Connected by ethernet gigabit with good stable internet connection.

Stops & shows rebuffering. Sometimes comes back after a few seconds or
when the next announcement comes on. Log file showing dozens of similar

Thanks Michael. Yes the speeds are different and so are the ISPs. The
hardware (except the disk drives) and the LMS images are identical
installs - but who knows there may be some minor differences. Internet
radio works fine (never had a problem with it but have checked anyway).

Set logging to Info and each attempt at a configuration file puts this

external Squeezelite installation and all was good. With my last update
(still on 2.0.10) it appears that placing SLX in the Startup folder
makes it start *before* Squeezeserver has started, leading to the
playlist previously loaded being lost, substituted with one which I
honestly don't know where it comes from (probably it's the last playlist
that Squeezerver correctly has in store for that player).
Does it happen just to me?

This seems more likely - it could also mean that transcoding by LMS may
work rather than convert lots of tracks.

If you look after the Operation not permitted log entry ffmpeg is having
issues with stream #0.

It's likely that you need to move the metadata to the beginning of the
alac file.

You can also do this with ffmpeg, something like

ffmpeg -i input.m4a -codec copy -map 0 -movflags faststart output.m4a

Oh OK. I assumed that with similar names it had been forked.
Issue occurs solo via Shairtunes (Shairport solo works fine) or in
group. It doesn't seem to make any difference. Even with verbose logging
nothing stood out in the error log to me. Is there a debug verbose level
I can set it to for more of an idea?

Shairtunes does not really reuse shairport code. I will try with my

When the synchronise feature is used the screen in the screenshot is
reached after clicking "synchronise". I was just wondering why it is
necessary to click again to see the list of players as there is no other
option. Could the player list be shown immediately after clicking "
synchronise"?[image:

Check out Phillipe_44's "Group Players" plugin, you can preselect a
