Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2019-01-18 Thread glorifyday

Hi everybody. I am a satisfied user of the material skin for LMS. Great
job, and thanks for the optional STOP button - it works great!

I would like to ask about a behaviour that I observed on Chrome and Edge
for Android.

When I create a desktop shortcut for the LMS/material, the site is
displayed fullscreen (good), but always in portrait mode with
autorotation disabled (not so good), regardless if the autorotation is
enabled in the system.

Is it a feature of Chrome and Edge for Android only?

Safari for iOS does not show this behaviour. The site run from desktop
shortcut displays fullscreen in current orientation and normally
autorotates.

As a workaround, I tried other Android web browsers, but their desktop
shortcuts don't run fullscreen, so a lot of screen space is wasted.

Hi John - It's unfortunately not possible. I'd need to decide this when
I receive the LMS command to play a track. Unfortunately, I only know
the sample size and rate after I've started to receive the actual audio
data, which is obviously after I've received the request to play a
track. So in flow mode, the sample rate and size can be whatever you
want, but it must be fixed.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Local content on iPeng

Is there any way or has anyone considered how to serve music from iOS
into iPeng? Back in the day of 16gb iPhones it seemed pointless, but
with my current 128gb iPhone I can house most of my collection in apple
lossless. It would be great to be able to use iPeng’s Interface rather
than the stock music app.

Is it a Fedora package ? Did somebody create an LMS package for Fedora
- if so request they update it as that is just a snapshot of 7.9.1 in

I cannot install Spotty

I'm running LMS 7.9.2 on pCP 4.1.0 and when I'm trying to "install" the
Spotty plugin it doesn't work.
I check the box next to the Spotty plugin, I restart LMS and then the
Spotty plugin sits at the top. "Updated plugins available"
Whatever I do after that, the plugin goes down to "3rd Party Plugins"

Are there any known problems?

Hello,
for about a week now (I think), I've been having a problem where my

error:

; fh=Slim::Web::HTTP::ClientConn=GLOB(0xa860840)

It happens when any of our devices: squeezelite, squeezebox radio, touch
or duet are used to listen to Radio 3, 4, or 5.

I'm running:

logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-0.4.20170705git1498799744.fc26.noarch
perl v5.24.4
BBC iPlayer v1.6.2
BBC iPlayer Extras v2.2.0

with the repo set to:

...downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml

I've tried setting the plugins to use both HLS first and DASH but get
the same errors.

Any help, please?

Best regards.

There were a number of separate issues which affected both separately
Live and "Listen Again" HLS playback which in turn was separate from the
Windows issue. Some of which only happened recently (i.e last October) -
as usual it is a case of fix one thing and then soon after a new problem
shows up.

Fixed in git now, thanks for reporting before the release :-)

I don't really mind. Both have their upsides; with git I can link any
commits to the issue, and you get notified on the change. With reporting
here it gets noticed by more users.

Before you release 0.2.8, I believe I have found a bug in the git

selecting More doesn't work properly. In the Mobile layout, it takes me

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2019-01-18 Thread Cebolla

Hi Philippe,

I've been successfully using the Flow (flac) Transcode setting with my
non-gapless Pioneer N-50 (and also similarly the CastBridge equivalent
for my Chromecast Audios) - many thanks for such a great feature.

Having only ever used CD res tracks with the feature, I was curious to
see what would happen with the Flow setting when presented with a
playlist containing a mixture of sample rates & bit depths. Perhaps not
surprisingly, given the added complexity, the -Resample at- & -Sample
size- Advanced options are ignored if kept to their default value of
'source' - so instead always use a -Resample at- setting of '44100' and
-Sample size- setting of '16'.

Would it be possible/feasible to have an option in the Flow setting, to
produce a continuous audio stream which does actually use the source
sample rate & bit depth values? The implication being that a deliberate
accounted for break in the 'flow' occours, so producing a new continuous
audio stream, when the next track in the playlist has either a different
sample rate or bit depth to the current track.

John

Hi folks,

I'm excited to share a new extensive article series with you!

Mario, who has been our intern at Max2Play for the past few months, has
written a very special series which deals with 3 exemplary zones in a
budget-friendly multiroom system, one zone detailed in each article.

The series is aimed at both HiFi beginners and audiophile veterans,
because in each article there is are detailed step-by-step guides with
instructions as well as helpful tips on our software and plugins for
optimization.

In the first article, you will find out everything about the project as
a whole and the upcoming articles. We also explain the basics for
building a multiroom system, including Raspberry Pi and sound cards.

The next article will come out at the start of next week, so stay tuned

2019-01-18 Thread Michael Herger

this morning, in the middle of playing music via connect it stopped

When I try to re-connect I get the same error as before.

Something's odd there. The fact that it's running fine for a while, then
suddenly crashes, makes this hard to grasp.

I can try to get you a build with debug information. If run with
RUST_BACKTRACE=1 this might be useful. Would you be willing and able to
run this test? The debug version will consume much more memory and CPU.
But it might help us to better understand what's going on.
