Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2019-04-04 Thread pippin

I wouldn’t see ow that should work.
If your audiobooks are not alphabetically sorted, iPeng should not show
an a-z index but a numerical,one (or just dots) that breaks down the
list into chunks of 25 items.
IF the list is alphabetically sorted, how should iPeng know that in this
particular case it should not use the alphabet index but some other
criterion (which is also probably specific to your use case)?

For its own menus, iPeng does already go to some length to try to find a
better index, like a.g. Skipping initial letters under certain
circumstances.

But in addition to that in many cases the indexes are provided by
LMS which generally knows better how the list is sorted and how the
sorting got created.

The star icon is displayed correctly everywhere else.

What happened to the Grid display for Albums, New Music etc? All I get

Goes back to a time when Logitech/Slimdevices were trying to downgrade
Radio and push Apps as the main area for optional service but it was
inconsistently applied and then Touch/Radio Applets appeared and it got
too confusing for users so Triode added option for the small cadre of
"App" users. The option has been there for many years.

Edit the BBCiPlayerExtra file called Plugin .pm and add the lines
highlighted in red. Save file. Stop LMS. Clear caches and restart LMS.
No guarantee, no support and each time plugin is installed you'll need
to make the change (i.e. save a copy of the modified Plugin.pm file
somewhere)

Code:

  sub initPlugin {
my $class = shift;

my $file = catdir( $class->_pluginDataFor('basedir'), 'default.opml' );

$prefs->init({ disabledash => 0 });

$class->SUPER::initPlugin(

tag=> 'bbciplayerextra',
is_app => $class->can('nonSNApps') ? 1 : undef,
menu   => 'radios',

);

Plugins::BBCiPlayerExtra::Settings->new;

  }

  sub getDisplayName { 'PLUGIN_BBCIPLAYEREXTRA' }

  sub playerMenu { shift->can('nonSNApps') ? undef : 'RADIO' }

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)

2019-04-04 Thread Kees

Hi Guys,

I'm totally happy with the new RP and UpnP plugins, but encounter
another minor thing.

When streaming RP and heavy downloading via my router takes place at the
same time, RP streaming starts to stutter where other "lossy" streaming
stations continue to play without the stuttering.

I understand that lossless streaming takes up more bandwith than lossy
does, but was wondering if this might be a buffering thing.

Has anyone found a workaround? I just hate to implement Qos just for the
sake of this.

Regards Kees

I have a lot of audio books that are named "series title ###", with ###
being a consecutive number. The right side of iPeng shows this "abc

Would it be possible for iPeng to recognize the naming scheme, use the
### instead, and show something like

1, 6, 11 etc.?

For example:

[(number of albums) / (25 entries in the sidebar) = sidebar intervals]
IF [only one jump point].

I (developer/maintainer) don't use Mixcloud that much anymore, but if it
doesn't work, and it can be fixed easily, I will still update the plugin
and publish a new version through the default plugin repository. I did
see the pull request on Github, but I haven't had the time to test this
myself yet. After I can do that, I'll publish the new version.

I only have one Squeezebox, so I can't really test the sync
functionality.
