Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Thanks Michael, updated and running smoothly, and I like the new menu structure and labels! I have a question though, as this has made "Enable Radio Paradise HD Images" a bit more prominent, and I've never understood what this does. I've displayed those slideshows on the RP website before, but can anyone enlighten me as to what this does the LMS web app or on Squeezebox screens? Enabling it doesn't seem to change anything here. I forced an update to 2.2.10 from the Store, and it has been running smoothly for quite a while (Radio Paradise, Mellow Mix), including an intentional exit and relaunch. Thanks for sharing. I have been looking at SLX occasionally throwing an error on shutdown. SLX has a somewhat complicated shutdown sequence, where it has to shutdown several processes in an orderly fashion. I recently discovered that this orderly fashion was not occurring properly on Windows Signout/ShutDown. Windows was independently terminating processes without waiting for SLX to do it in some cases. I believe the Exception code: 0xc005 is a result of SLX trying to close something that Windows unexpectedly destroyed. Version 2.2.10 (should be available now) attempts to fix shutdown issues by more carefully handling notifications from Windows that the session is ending (WM_QUERYENDSESSION) and (WM_ENDSESSION). As for CPU hogging/not displaying, I doubt it was related to the previous 0xc005 exception. I think I saw the CPU hogging/not displaying happen once when I happened to manually updated the Material Skin folder on LMS while LMS was running live and SLX was connected. In any case, let me know if you see it again and what the circumstances are. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
experiencing problems right now on Mellow Flac in the plugin. Behavior is slightly different. The song will play, metadata is correctly synced then audio will stop for as much as 5-10 seconds while the metadata shows song continuing...then song will start again right at point it stopped and the metadata (time remaining) will resync correctly. FLAC direct stream or the "interactive" plugin version? Its unlistenable at moment. I wish RP would offer a 320 AAC feed of Mellow Mix in the interim. They do: https://radioparadise.com/listen/stream-links -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Been using the interactive stream for the last four days on both SB3 and Boom and not had a single stutter, buffer or skip here in the UK. Normally happens between 14:00 and 17:00 but nothing amiss. I prefer the interactive as I like to skip ahead and don't want the metadata messed up. I will report back if I have an issue. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
In v2.4.1 I added the new flac streams to the menu, and arranged that a bit. In order to distinguish the two flac options, I refer to the "old" way of streaming as "FLAC Interactive" (you can skip tracks), whereas the new ones are the "FLAC Streams". Should you encounter broken metadata updates, then please enable logging for plugin.radioparadise. I added more logging in this revision in order to help me understand where the problem lies. As I said in the title I tried enabling pcm transcoding for my chromecast in the plugin settings and everything is just fine. I'm running out of ideas... I have no clue how that change would cause what you're seeing! A few questions: - is something playing on the Receiver before you sync it? - is something queued up on the Receiver (other tracks, but paused) before you sync it? - would it make a difference it there was no track in the queue? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I just installed this and noticed I can play one song, stop for like 30 seconds, then try to play another song and I get no audio. I then switch back to play audio to my phone, and immediately try to select my max2play Pi again, and it's not there. Wait about 20 seconds more and suddenly it appears again. What's causing this? It's very annoying. Don't know. Maybe your server.log would know? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
