Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I noticed that when playing a stream, such as the Radio Paradise Main Mix - AAC 320kbps, that material displays the artist biography and song lyrics, but the album review pane is left blank. Material appears to understand the album is unknown because it does not send a JSON REQ to get an album review. I suggest that instead of leaving the pane completely blank, that a message be written at top, stating that the album for the currently playing song is not known. *Living Room:* SB Touch + DIY PSU > CI Audio VDA.2 DAC + VAC.1 PSU > VRX.1 cables > Emotiva XSP-1 Gen 2 preamp + XPA-DR2 amp > Blue Jeans cables > B 804 speakers *Laptop:* System76 Galago + Ubuntu 16.04 + Squeezelite + Material Skin > ifi USB iSilencer > Audirect Beam DAC > Senn IE 80 earbuds *Bedroom:* Pixel 3a Phone + SB Player + Material/mobile > Bose SoundLink Revolve *Server:* Puget Systems Serenity + Ubuntu 18.04 + LMS 7.9.2 *Music:* Personal FLAC, Radio Paradise FLAC, Qobuz, Spotify Ron F.'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yep. Pairing has been done. I don't have any type of firewall that blocks ports or anything, so not sure what the deal is. The device is 'seen' in my LMS UI as a valid player, and it appears that it's playing (seconds counting up) but no sound and nothing shows up on the TV. Did you do pairing and everything? Usually if you have done that then what remains is a firewall issue. You dont need iPhone or anything. Okay, I'm a little lost. I got some music to play briefly a bit ago but now I cannot see to get it to work. Do I need my phone to be used at all? Or should I just be able to use the browswer on a computer that has access to the LMS UI, and pick the ATV as the player? Airplay works fine between my phone and my ATV. Hi Phillipe! I have been a LMS user for many years, and just bought an AppleTV 4. I installed your plugin on my LMS server, and it appears to be set up correctly on that end. The problem that I am having is that I even thought I see my AppleTV in the list of devices and it shows that it is playing a song, I cannot hear anything. I have the logging turned on but I don't see any errors or anything. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Can you help? The *server* side thinks that the socket is dead and closes it. So it's not the fault of the client, but the WDT is on the server. More precisely, it happened during track switch where the next track caused a sudden data inrush (while the current one was still playing) but there would be no more request for data untill the current track has finished. I realize it might be specific to my plugin, though. Here is my comment in slimproto Code: Streaming services like Deezer or RP plugin close connection if stalled for too long (30s), so if STMd is sent too early, once the outputbuf is filled, connection will be idle for a while, so need to wait a bit toward the end of the track before sending STMd. One option might be to use pcm and not ogg, so that there is not such a big data inrush LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. In the past when you hit the top right corner dots symbol you got a drop down menu that included a server settings button which took you to the standard LMS Settings page so you could rescan media , change plugins etc . Over the last two days the settings button has gone and only after a search was I able to find a Server Settings button under Information button and in the information stream after the details of the Server used. . However the style and use is very different to the normal LMS settings page and navigating through the various pages is not as easy . Is this a deliberate change that is being implemented and will the Server Settings now be under Information for the future ? If this is the case then fine will live with that . Could I ask howver if it is possible to change the Settings page back to the original LMS version as this is much better to use. I am using this on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox Browser . The page store a secret which would become invalid once you restart LMS. Bug fix release. Changes: - Fix menu icon missing from grid items. - If keyboard shortcuts are disabled, dont prevent the event from propagating. - Use Alt+Arrow instead of just Arrow for shortcuts. - When remapping icons, check object icon/icon-id property is a string. - Fix broken expand now-playing button in desktop layout. - Fix updating queue when remove a selection of tracks. - Place 'Server settings' back into main menu. - Fix missing shortcuts from some queue action tooltips. - Mark icon buttons as non-selectable to try and prevent copy dialog on mobile. - Tweaks to classic skin used for settings, etc. - Set focus each time a dialog is shown. - Customise shortcut text (Ctrl/Command) depending upon whether OS is Mac or not. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As mentioned many times before, to stop sites randomly playing audio, Chrome will not allow a media session until the user has interacted with the page. This is to stop annoying audio adds. (If only they'd do the same with video). A media session is what is used to display the controls. Because of this you *must* interact with Material for the notification to show. Material is just a web page, it is not a real application, so it is limited to what the browser allows. Pressing your phone's back button does not send a click event to Material. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
