Yeah, I was doing the fade out/in when the URL changes - not when the
image was loaded. I'm using a library to do lazy loading of images, and
this allows me to fadeIn when an image is loaded - all via CSS. So, I'll
change mey codde for this - but it means only fade in, not fade out.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2020-02-09 Thread Ron F.

I think I finally stumbled upon the source of the problem, sorry that I
am slow to figure things out...

The transition works if the image that "Now Playing" is transitioning to
is already in the browser's cache. If I play a playlist loaded from
Spotify for example, then the first time through the playlist, the fade
fails to work properly for every track. Then if I start the playlist
over from the beginning, it works perfectly the second time through!

The same with streaming Radio Paradise, or Qobuz, most of the tracks
have not been played since the last time I cleared the cache, but
occasionally it does work, if the track was played recently.

I usually dump the browser's cache images and files after updating
material from Github.

You need to manually load the modules for now...I didn't want to write
alot of code without knowing things.

Select USB output on the squeezelite page. Reboot, go into card control

Then open a ssh session and run.

modprobe snd-soc-aiy-voicebonnet

I have encountered several issues with this new feature...

1. Android 10 Pixel 3a Phone, Opera browser:
I don't understand it, but the Opera browser simply does not understand
the color selection tool. It appears to be mapping brown into where
yellow should appear in the color pallet, among other mistakes. Color
selection works correctly in Kiwi and Vivaldi, so I assume it is a bug
in Opera. I wind up getting different colors for different widgets in
the material now playing display. If using Opera - it is best to not
play with this feature, and just stick with the default blue.

2. I have noticed that if I choose the dark theme, I actually get "Dark
with colored toolbars" instead. Tested using laptop, desktop & mobile
displays, Opera, Vivaldi, Epiphany browsers.

Additionally, I have seen on several occasions, in Vivaldi and Opera
browsers, the "now Playing" image fade back to the artwork of the prior
track after the current track has been playing for quite a while, maybe
a minute or so! I reload the browser window to reload the correct image.
I have seen this occur on all of my platforms: phone, laptop, and server
display. I might have also seen it as well running Chromium, but less
certain of that. It is necessary for me to keep notes.

I should have provided more detailed results ... my bad.

My server is running LMS v8.0, Material v1.4...

Artwork transition:
In a nutshell, I have never seen it work on any of my platforms using
the mobile display, portrait or landscape orientation, using any
browser. Chromium and Firefox desktop displays on a landscape screen do
seem to be working, but everything else failed or was inconsistent.
Specific testing results follows:

Mobile phone, Android 10, now playing artwork transition failed for the
following browsers using mobile display and a portrait orientation:
Kiwi, Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera

Laptop running Ubuntu 16.04, landscape screen used in all the following
tests...
Now playing artwork transition did not work consistently for:
Chrome:
desktop display - expanded now playing (works occasionally)
mobile display (never worked)

Chromium: mobile display (never worked)

Opera:
desktop display - expanded now playing (works occasionally)
mobile display (never worked)

Vivaldi:
desktop display - expanded now playing (works occasionally)
mobile display (never worked)

Epiphany:
desktop display (I was expecting this to work, if in any browser I have
installed, but it did not)
mobile display (never worked)

Firefox: mobile display (never worked)

So far, the v1.4 artwork transition does appear to work consistently for
the following browsers for me (!):
Chromium: desktop display - expanded now playing
Firefox: desktop display - expanded now playing

Send the log of castbridge (don’t change any setting, just copy paste

This would be consistent with what I think is going on. The legacy
installer creates all the SLX registry keys during install in order to
be able to remove them on uninstall. The Store App creates them at run
time. So with the legacy installer there is no accidental creating a
key in the Chromium sub-processes because it is already there.

Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it.

slartibartfast, Not sure how you are lucky enough to be the only person
with this issue, but I have a bead on it. The next version should solve
your problem. It was actually a pretty interesting way this could
happen related to how Chromium creates it sub-processes and how my
registry reading code would create a key when reading if one did not
already exist. I believe two Chromium sub-process could have been
accidentally trying to create a registry key at the same time in the
process of reading. Timing would have to be perfect like the same
millisecond. Anyway, I am hoping this is what the issue was.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)

2020-02-09 Thread tmn103

I've been having a problem where playback stops in the middle of an
album, e.g. three tracks from 10 might play and after track 3 the music
stops.

When I look at the interface it appears that the player is stuck in some
way. The track timer is stuck part way through the last song that was
played. Manually selecting the next song gets it playing again (after
hearing the beep connection).

I've tried the latest nightly version as well as going back to 7.9.2,
but the problem is still the same.

The issue is intermittent, sometimes a few songs will play before it has
to be manually started again

Cool. Glad its sorted now. In 1.4.0 you will be able to navigate into
search results, and play from there - without needing to add the
subscription. Would be nice if the Podcast plugin also stored the
podcast image as well as its URL...

 whereas my code looking for:
Code:

["podcasts","items","0",25000,"menu:podcasts"]

as to why this is, I'm not sure. In your command there is no way for
Material to know its listing podcasts.

Where did you install the podcast app? From LMS or mysqueezebox.com?

2020-02-09 Thread Man in a van

Hi raoul

I have two suggestions,

do the hotfix on pCP to change to ve 5.0.1

and

Update LMS (LMS page...Nightly Update)

Some folk have experienced problems withthe 'Orbi' router stuffI
don't have a clue if that is possible in your situation:(
