Well, the library is going to be deleted. I've added more text to the
dialog to make this (hopefully) clearer.

I think the popup display that is raised for listing the Library Views
is such that it could be difficult for a new user to understand what he
is doing due to the severe truncation of the text ... at least it
appears this way on my Pixel 3a phone even when not using the larger

Also, maybe it is just me but I don't understand the purpose of the
garbage can buttons at the end of these options; I don't understand what
is going to be deleted.

Given how obscure the tracks were that were playing, I am pretty sure it

UPnP and Cast protocol do not allow metadata to be sent during
streaming. They are ‘file-oriented’ protocols. With UPnP there is a
workaround when the audio is mp3 or aac by using ICY/shoutcast protocol
if supported by the player. But Chromecast devices devices do not
support ICY.

The only option would be to write another receiver, the application that
runs inside the CC and receives data and, if possible, go to a low
enough level to use ICY or write something totally different than plain
HTTP to grab the audio to play.

Too much work for me

Hm, no track has an artistsort tag in this multi library (not sure if I
have to check all my tracks). I'm checking that with puddletag on

This tag should only resort that artist. But I can't find the missing

Yes, but I should have been more specific. You have to check all(!)
files of an artist if there's an ARTISTSORT tag, because it needs only
one(!) file with an ARTISTSORT tag to change the sort order for that
artist. If you're on Windows, I'd recommend mp3tag to check your tags.

As a general rule, you should also check LMS' server.log if there's
anything unusual.

I had a problem with libraries on LMS and decided to clear cache through
the Control Panel in Windows 10...

That kind of worked as expected with all third party plugins having to
be re-selected. Except that the Trackstat plugin had disappeared from

I recalled that this was mentioned by another user in the last couple of

Is this a permanent loss or will they be coming back?

I have managed to find what I think is the latest Trackstat version

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Missing artists in Custom Browse Menu

2020-03-07 Thread DD827611

Hello at all,

I'm using custom scan / browse / tag. I configured a custom tag for my
CUSTOM_LIBRARY. This works: I can see under Home > Multi Library that
this library contains all tracks with this custom tag. All artists are
saved in TPE1 (I can check that in the tags settings of the tracks).
Also tagging software shows all artists correct. In custom browse
settings I use the built in menus, e.g. CUSTOM_LIBRARY/Artists.

BUT: I can't see all artists when I browse to this menu item
CUSTOM_LIBRARY/artists. Many atists are missing.

When I browse to CUSTOM_LIBRARY/decades or CUSTOM_LIBRARY/years I can
see all tracks and also the missing artists. It seems that only the
artists sub menu is not working good.

If anyone has a idea what to check I would be very pleased.

Thank you :)

Eset, although it was my internet provider, BT, which flagged a problem
when I clicked the link.

Looks like a false positive of your virus scanner / security software.
What kind of virus scanner are you using?

If you are using something like Norton, McAffee,Eset etc. you could try
to disable the virus scanner for the time you are trying to install the
plugin - your computer will still be protected because then the internal
scanner of Windows 10 will automatically be activated.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)

2020-03-07 Thread Paul Webster

I finally have a Google Chromecast device ... a gifted Nest Home Mini
(Google Home Mini v2).

One thing I noticed ... if I play Radio France stations with my plug-in
to get the meta info then the song changes do not get recognised by the
Chromecast device - so it always thinks that the current song is the
first one played.
I am pretty sure that using the UPnP or AirPlay plugins from Philippe
did not exhibit this issue.

The device was discovered without a problem and I left all of the
settings as default (including sending LMS data to the device).

Ok, I took a dive into the server log and found this:

[20-03-06 20:57:33.5350] Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::_downloadError
(216) unable to download BookmarkHistory from
http://mjohnen.bplaced.net/repo/bookmarkhistory-1.2.16.zip - 403

I tried again just now on the off chance but the same thing has
happened.

Yes of course, but its not a pressing issue. Also, you've always been
able to click the text - for all of these switch style entries - this is
standard Android beheviour.

Just tested the "enable alarm" functionality and now it doesn't work at
all. Even backing out of the player settings screen and re-entering
