Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Leds on the PI and HifiBerry turn off
There are many Raspberry Pi's and many HiFiBerry HATs, some you can turn off the LEDs others you can't. :( pCP8.0.0 will have the ability to turn off the RPi's LEDs (if possible). The HiFiBerry HAT will require adding "leds_off" to the driver in config.txt (if possible). Is there an option in [Card Control]? Hi I understand that it is possible with Cron to stop or shutdown or reboot the PI at a time I want. I looked in piCore and found Cron. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Group Players: Songs stop prematurely with an error
Thats the situation I explained above. Try decode error happens when the output buffer is still full of unheard audio because decoding happens way in advance. For standalone players, when LMS receives the decode error notification, it let the player go to the end of whatever it has in its buffer. For syncs players, LMS stops all players as soon as it receives the decode excite indication. So you can see that it might easily be with 10 seconds of audio still in the buffer LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. In that case, LMS does the transcoding to flac > > - you can take every file that ends early and try to run it through > ffmpeg to verify I'm still not quite understanding. If I have 10 seconds of output buffer at any given time, then I always have between 0 and 10 seconds of decoded ready to play audio in that buffer. It fluctuates, because buffer. I imagine that the buffer can fill much faster than it can drain, because decoding can happen faster than real time, and because buffer. - When I start playing a file, that buffer fills, bits are streaming, and eventually audio comes out my speakers. - When the decoder encounters a fatal error, the buffer stops being replenished and drains, and music stops coming out of my speakers about 10 seconds later. - If that fatal error is at, say, 30 seconds into the file, I'd expect audio to be interrupted at about the 30 second mark. - If that fatal error is at, say, the last 10 seconds of the file, I'd expect audio to be interrupted at about the last 10 seconds mark. That is because I should hear the audio that precedes the fatal error, and nothing after that point. I don't understand how a fatal error at the :30 mark of a 2:00 song would result in 1:50 of the song playing, rather than :30 of the song playing. Put another way, if I were having errors with these files at various time markers, I'd immediately suspect the files. And indeed, I did until I started seeing that they were all stopping 10 seconds before the actual end of the song. And if the files exhibited the problem in all playback circumstances, I'd definitely suspect the files. But I know I can fully play these files back in iTunes and when sent to a singular player. The consistency of when the error occurs (10 seconds before the end of variable length songs) is notable, as is the fact that when playing these files to a singular player, I hear the full song to completion. And given that these are files from different sources and encoded at different times with different software...it's a lot of coincidence. I'm not trying to say that the files are NOT incorrectly encoded. Rather that I don't understand why incorrect encoding results in these files playing to completion in one circumstance, and not in another. I'd expect that if the file can be successfully decoded to completion in one circumstance, it should be able to be successfully decoded to completion in another circumstance. I do think I'll run them all through ffmpeg and see what I can glean from that. Thanks again for all of your help with this weird situation. benh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6732 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114439 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

AirPlay devices as Left/Right stereo pair ... using LMS settings only As an experiment I set an AirPlay Bridge player as Left Channel only in LMS/Settings/Player/playername/Audio/Output Channel Mode then sent it - via LMS - a test stereo file with spoken Left Side/Right Side/Centre (and set that way in the MP3 file) ... but all were heard. So, I assume this means that this setting is not honoured by the plugin. I thought I remembered something about this being discussed recently but perhaps it was a different plugin. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content
I thought you had removed the ability to play ogg natively. When did it reappear? I re-enabled it in the latest update a few weeks ago. Philippe has put a lot of effort to make it available in upstream librespot, and I plan to update the spotty helper to using the latest librespot. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

No musical note on that page, but there's a *Play Now* button on both Desktop and Mobile skins. Haven't used MS for a while and just opened it now. I remember that when I browsed to an Album Artist the albums under that Artist would appear. At the top of the screen there was a musical note icon which returned 'All songs'. But now at the top there is 3 dots inside a circle that shows a drop down list for 'All Songs', 'Play Next', 'Append random album to queue' etc. My question; Is there some setting that gives me 'All songs' icon at the top like before? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I've a weird problem with on of my touch players. It login to my server remotely, the server sees the player but the player doesn't recognized it has been logged in. Server is 8.2 and touch firmware is 7 something. Now I've downloaded the latest community firmware for touch from ralphy, fab4_8.0.1_r16852.zip and I can login to touch through ssh and winscp but I can not find any information where I should place the firmware for manual upgrade, I've been searching now for a quite a long time. Any help would be appreciated. funio's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46872 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113479 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've seen some random sync when the group is being disassembled and I re-allocate players to the sync group they belonged to. I've not been able to catch the issue though.
