I figured out the problem. On LMS 8.1.1 running on PcP 8.0.0, under the Settings>Plugin tab, the Community Firmware box was checked, and I had restarted LMS. However, looking at the debug log it was looking to "http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/; for the firmware and not "https://ralph_irving.gitlab.io/lms-community-firmware/update/firmware/; I then looked under Settings>Advanced>Community Firmware for Touch/Radio/Controller, and the box was unchecked. Checking the box and restarting LMS solved the problem. I hope I explained the problem and solution clearly, there was a mismatch between the plugsin tab where the box was checked and the advanced tab where the box was unchecked. There is some problem occurring in LMS for pCp whereby checking the community plugin box doesn't really activate the plugin. Recall, under plugins, I had tried unchecking, restart LMS, and check the box, restart LMS to get the community firmware to work, but that method did not work. You can hide Spotify albums from your local library if a local version is available. I remembered I did this step (the developer account) sometime ago, when installing 8.1.1 dockered in my Synology. Now , I don't know what happened but the error also appeared int the "Spotty for Squeezebox" plug-in settings. This worked ok until somedays ago. Hi pippin: IPeng menus change as LMS menus. But there is a case where this change is not done. It is when using the Browse on Spotify menu using the Spotty plug-in. This is a very interesting feature because, LMS works using all the Spotify library. Could be used this menu for using Spotify through iPeng? Now the more specific question. Spotty seems to work fine using v0.35.0(?), with one exception: I can't fast-forward in a Spotify track, i.e. "jump" to a placer further into the track. Every time I do that Spotty will start playing the song from the start again, although the progress bar does not go back, so during the rest of the track it is out of sync with the music playback.
