Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streamingv3
The "Eclectic Mix" is now the "World/Etc Mix". Sometimes Bill's announcements call it "World and Eclectic" so this must still be a new thing. Selecting "Eclectic Mix" in the LMS plugin still works fine, and but it should probably be renamed. Thanks for the heads up! An update with new French translation (thanks Franck!) and improved streaming reliability (thanks philippe44 - again!) is on its way. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I installed a number of earlier LMS versions but that didn't make any difference. I then re-started my PC and installed LMS 8.2.1 again. This time although the hi-res tracks start at 16bit, they quickly switch to 24 bit. jazzguy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12152 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115135 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
While examining the LMS source code around favorites-handling, I discovered an undocumented legacy feature which allows the entire favorites hierarchy to be retrieved with a *single *API call. :) When the 'feedMode:1' flag is added to the ['favorites', 'items'] query, a data-structure is returned from the OPML feed which thankfully contains the full nested favorites hierarchy end even references the -parser -if relevant. I've now rewritten MediaServer to use this. Having all names/titles available for fuzzy-matching means that play-by-name -never -has to recurse. Because I can create a proper -item_id- from the hierarchy, all favorites can be played by -item_id- instead of by URL, so any favorite that needs a parser-plugin will play via that plugin automatically. You should notice much snappier favorites handling on large collections. There's a small white-lie in the above in that the contents of your 'on mysqueezebox.com' folder are never included in the first retrieval-pass and have to be deliberately fetched on a second API call. This extra retrieval cause LMS itself to have to talk to the mysb service which introduces some noticeable extra latency. You'll experience a much more fluid usability overall if you discontinue using mysb _for_favorites_ (keep it for other stuff, just kill off the favorites sync) and stay with local folders for favorites. In settings, make sure you select the option as highlighted in the screenshot below. When you then delete the 'on mysqueezebox.com' folder from your favorites it will no longer be recreated upon LMS restart. Once gone, everything will be much snappier. 35730 Enjoy ! +---+ |Filename: mysb.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35730| +---+ philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
unfortunately I could not find a documentation, where the ports are listed, which are used by Spotty, so I cannot open them in my firewall. Can you give us more info about what direction you're blocking/opening, where you're running LMS, where the players and Spotify clients live etc.? I am using ufw and have already opened up 9000/tcp 9090/tcp 3483/tcp 3483/udp These, strictly speaking, have nothing to do with Spotty, but are LMS' ports. 4070/tcp 5353/udp Spotty requires standard 80/443 (outgoing) in addition. everything is working fine, except of local player broadcast. In my ufw logs I found out, that my smartphone tries to connect to lms on the following ports: 35623/tcp 42978/tcp 3/tcp Is this the source port or the target port? Certainly not ports that Spotty would set up to listen on. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Would it be possible to add dynamic playlist as an option when you press the "3 dot" menu for album artists and genres? Currently you must press the 3 dots > more > dynamic playlists. Which is fine for me but the wife and kids seem to forget it even exists and the dynamic playlist never get used. Example would be... Album artist selected artist "3 dot" menu > dynamic playlist. Of course a better way would be to show the appropriate random playlist in the top level but that seems like it would be more difficult. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
Hello everyone, unfortunately I could not find a documentation, where the ports are listed, which are used by Spotty, so I cannot open them in my firewall. I am using ufw and have already opened up 9000/tcp 9090/tcp 3483/tcp 3483/udp 4070/tcp 5353/udp everything is working fine, except of local player broadcast. In my ufw logs I found out, that my smartphone tries to connect to lms on the following ports: 35623/tcp 42978/tcp 3/tcp after opening these ports, my players were accessible. so here my question: - is there any logic behind these port numbers and can they be found out, without searching manually in my ufw logs? - are the port numbers fixed, or may they be changed in the future (maybe after a restart, or an update of the server / spotty plugin)? thank you in advance gw gnackwatschn's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71199 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114836 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
