It especially has to wait until your players show up to know where to switch to, there really is no way to speed this up. For me it usually takes about 10s or so, how long is it for you? You can of course switch manually by simply selecting the other server under Music Sources. I do have my home network IP address added to iPeng so it's eventually found. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I've been accessing my SlimServer remotely since I got the system 11/06 and it works GREAT! Now that I've got iPeng on my iPhone, I'm able to control players at home and the SB3 sitting in my office. I have noticed, however, that iPeng does take some time to distinguish that I'm not on my home network anymore. Eventually, it will find my SlimServer on its own. Am I missing something in the setup? Works for me, but not the way you're doing it. When you initially started SoftSqueeze did you have it create an icon on your desktop? Well, go to your SYSTEM PREFS and open ACCOUNTS. Highlight your account name on the left side and click the tab labeled LOGIN ITEMS. At the bottom of the new window that opens, click on the '+'. You may be asked to enter your ADMIN PASSWORD. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
