Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Running picoreplayer over a VPN
Thanks a lot for your efforts investigating this! I have a ubiquity router already configured as L2tp server, and looking at the 'article' (https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015971688-EdgeRouter-OpenVPN-Server) to set it up for open vpn scares me... What would one need to do to setup and configure an L2tp client on picoreplayer? odw199 wrote: > I spent a while searching for a guide on how to get picoreplayer working > over a vpn and couldn't find one. thanks for the tip Michael, I see this in the information page: /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Plugins and I tried both these folders, but each time the plugin appeared once then the page prompted for a server restart after which the plugin disappeared and did not even appear in the 3rd party inactive plugins. done, but that selected the root volume of my music repository in the directories to scan, not very funny bevause I have a lot of files (4TB) in a temp folder that are waiting to be correctly tagged... so I wanted to interrupt the scan and that didn't go well, my NAS froze. Impossible to restart LMS after 2 reboots of the NAS. I reinstalled I also reinstalled DSDPlay plugin from the list and enabled DoP for my player but all DSD tracks are either skipped or freeze LMS... Is that the latest one or do we still have to get the new one from another source? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Hi Martin, My question on the DSD thread hasn't been answered, and even with the latest update the "enable DSD over PCM" option in the players settings (DSDPlayer tab) still shows the same behaviour. I have 2 players but only one supports DSD, so I want to have one "Enable DSD over PCM" option checked for that player and leave it unchecked for the other player, as the interface allows. But I still need to have both unchecked if I want the conversion to PCM to happen for the second player. Then of course I don't get DOP on the first player. Is the stream meant to be individual to each player, or is there something that prevents the "enable DSD over PCM" option to take effect on each player differently? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Thanks Martin, I now see DSDPlayer (V1.02) in the active plugins. It plays DoP on my streamer supporting it when Enable DSD-over-PCM is checked and converts to PCM when unchecked ( I can see the incoming format on my DAC). My second player that does not support DoP only decodes DSD tracks when the flag is unchecked, as intended. It now works! used to be long silences... The disappointing thing is that the transcoding is not by player, it's all or nothing: if I want DSD to be decoded on both players, both players need to have the "Enable DSD-over-PCM" unchecked and I will hear PCM everywhere. If I leave the box checked for the first player and unchecked for the second, the first player will read the DSD track fine but the second will only issue silence (even with no synchronization: each player getting a different DSD track) Do you think that can be fixed? WadDad wrote: Thank you. But how about SSODS repack, that supports new versions of LMS? If I am not mistaken, this is your development? LINVINCIBLE Your version supports DSD playback? By the way. I found one album in LMS database, that have double two last but one singles. In fact each of them there is only a one time. And the last song is missing. All tags are right. m3u file is correct. Clearing database and full scan didn't help. Interestingly, the content is played correctly despite the list. no it's not my version I didn't repack anything I just assembled different packages and guides I found reading this forum to have it all in one place with clear instructions There are only 3 files: - SSODS (can't find where I got it from but there are references to this exact filename in several threads) - LMS build (I chose the latest 7.9 at the time) - the word document with step by step instructions, written by a friend and I. installs were done on 3 Synology NAS with these files and instructions, by 3 different persons, but they're giving me trouble now! You can try, I hope it works for you... About your weird album problem, did you check the path of files for each song? Maybe you have it in another folder... Hi Pinkdot, I have a 415+ I kept the same version of SSODS I installed the first time I installed 7.9 and followed the guide I wrote then for myself and a few friends (attached). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
I uninstalled that package and rebooted the NAS, reinstalled SSODS but I still can't reinstall the LMS package I was using before SSODS doesn't see it when copied in the directory where it looks for it and stops working when I browse to the file. Is it possible that the uninstall broke something necessary for SSODS to work properly? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
correct, the version of the scanner is 093 in the package whereas it has to be 095 to scan DSF and DFF files correctly I have no idea how to get an updated build of LMS 7.9 in there, all I can do is reinstall SSODS and a nightly build of 7.9... Thanks for your efforts so far please keep us posted if you find a way to update to the latest package available!
