emusic is my main 'pusher'. They have a lot of 'free sample' compilations where the tags are sub-optimal - I guess it's a result of the label wanting more visibility than the artists. It's hard to complain about free stuff, and until now I haven't been motivated enough to do anything about it. The tunes still sound good (many of them anyway) In many cases the track tag contains Trackname - Artistname so it's a lot of tedious cutting and pasting. To fix tags where track title contained the actual title and the artist separated by a dash I used mp3tag's Convert capabilities. From the main window: Convert | Actions I created a new Guess Action to break up the original title into title and artist tags. I think if you put the attached file into the right directory you'll get the same tag fixing goodness. Here's where it is on my machine: C:\Documents and Settings\acodrington\Application Data\Mp3tag\data\actions Change the extension back to .mta from .txt. [SlimDevices: Plugins] AudioScrobbler/Last.fm - not showing certain tracks as scrobbled
Hi there, This isn't life and death, just reporting to see if I'm alone, or if I can help debug something. One album of mine never seems to get scrobbled properly. In The Name Of Love: Africa Celebrates U2. (Great album by the way...) If tracks from it are in a playlist I can watch my 'Recent Tracks' on last.fm register everything but those from that album. I was suspicious of the colon ':' in the Album title and changed it this morning to a dash '-' with no change. I set logging to debug for audioscrobbler and watched things go by - I don't see obvious errors. It really looks like the info is getting to last.fm OK. Sample log attached. Just to close, I tried switching from the hardware settings ( e.g. ~ [NForce 0,1] )to using Java Sound Layer as suggested a few posts ago. I'm in this boat too. I am using two sound cards and will try to figure out if using the Java Sound Layer helps as mentioned above.
