There's also Adagio, which is excellent for 'classical' music - but I
don't think anyone has developed a SQB plugin for it

[SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC help please

2019-03-27 Thread andrewhunterjohnston

Hello
Returning to SQB after a few months I find that none of my previous
favourite links to BBC live and replay services work any more.
I see there is a very long thread about this but I can't see simple
instructions for how to enable it again.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty help?

2018-05-09 Thread andrewhunterjohnston

Please can someone help?
I find I can no longer play Spotify via my Squeezebox but I gather there
is something called Spotty which helps.
However, I can't find anywhere a clear explanation of how to find and
install Spotty.
There is a thread on this Forum with over 100 pages on the subject but,
having ploughed through a lot of it, it really makes little sense to a
non-geek!
Is there a simple instruction somewhere?

Thank you for saying that!
I too have struggled to understand what this is all about and have so
far failed to get BBC Listen Again to work.

In particular, I have no idea what this means:

Install updated BBCXMLParser.pm file to fix a problem with BBC iPlayer
"Listen Again"
See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...l=1#post834111 for the
patched program. There is currently no automated way of updating this
file. You therefore have to replace this file in the BBCiPlayer folder.
On ubuntu linux this is in
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/BBCiPlayer .
For other platforms you need to to find the file. Before replacing the
file you should stop LMS. In all cases you need to check that the access
rights for the file are the same as for other files in the same folder
(so that LMS can run it).

Is there anyone in SW London who could help me? (For a bottle of wine!)
