The official plugin works for people with the non-premium access?

The XM plugin worked for people without the Premium online, not sure
about the official Sirius plugin.

It's listed at a $8.99/month multi radio discount for me. I love the
Squeezebox but I can get by without that monthly charge. Hopefully the
other plug-in will work again at some point.

Wikipedia quotes that it would cost us $2.99 per month upgrade charge
from Basic to the Premium Online Services.

Subscribers who are listening to the Basic Online Service for free
must first upgrade to the Premium Online Service for $2.99 per month to
access the application on the iPhone or iPod Touch.

Good to know. Still, I'd rather keep going on as it was, which is paying
nothing, since we gave them enough of our money years ago. I'd gladly be
a test subject for the 3rd party Sirius plug-in.

Well, I broke down and paid the additional $33 a year for the Premium
online. I can now listen to XM on the SB as well as my droid and ipod
touch. Good luck with the plug-in.

I have a lifetime subscription with the Basic online account attached
to it. The XM plug-in used to work just fine with the SB player. Now
with the website change and with using the Sirius plug-in, it is
requiring a Premium online account. Is anyone out there connecting
without this premium online account?

I'm in the same boat as you. The XM plug-in worked great but now I'm
getting the need to pay for a Sirius Premium online radio
subscription with the Sirius plug-in. I actually called them and found
out while I have free online radio access with my lifetime XM
subscription (i.e. I can log into the SiriusXM streaming site fine),
that is not the same as the premium Sirius internet radio account
which enables the usage on devices like the Squeezebox. At least,
that's what the guy told me.

I think if you don't have the Premium online account you need to use
this 3rd party Sirius plug-in, which currently doesn't work after the
update the other day but which the creator says he's going to work on:

I explained my problem in that thread as well.

Did customer service mention how much extra the Premium would cost if
you have the lifetime sub? If you find a solution, please post!

Yup, looks like Sirius and XM have finally merged websites. I tried
using the built-in Sirius plugin to no avail. I hope that someone can
create or modify the existing XM plugin.
