Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version
Firstly thanks for a great plugin. I'm having an issue where when listening to a "Listen Again" programme, after a few minutes the stream will abruptly stop. I've set everything to use DASH. Do you have any ideas? The server.log just shows this: [16-08-11 10:49:29.1924] main::init (384) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.0, 1469605610, Wed Jul 27 21:00:56 PDT 2016) perl 5.018002 - darwin-thread-multi-2level [16-08-11 10:49:30.7024] main::init (384) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.0, 1469605610, Wed Jul 27 21:00:56 PDT 2016) perl 5.018002 - darwin-thread-multi-2level [16-08-11 10:49:49.7139] main::checkDataSource (1107) Warning: Schema updated or no media found in the database, initiating scan. I think the switch to HTML5 today may have broken the plugin, I could be wrong but a couple of days ago everything worked fine and now today it doesn't, and YouTube have just made HTML5 the default... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite soft power off/on detect
Thanks Greg, that looks like it will do just what I'm looking for! Probably better than my solution as people will no doubt forget to soft power off anyway. The server and clients are on a mac (long story short, I have airplay speakers that I've hacked using shell scripts, squeezelite and airfoil to be squeezebox clients, works surprisingly well) so the shell script will work fine, and will allow me to turn off amps when not in use and also turn off the airplay streams, to save the constant streaming of nothing. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite soft power off/on detect
Hi Folks, I was curious about catching the soft power on/off events on a squeezelite client in order to run some commands on the back of it, like switching amps on/off via wifi power sockets, and programs etc. Does a plugin like this exist? If not, do I have to create my own plugin, how easy is it to do this? (I am a programmer but not really dabbled in Python, and never in Squeezebox Server plugins) Thanks britcowboy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102827 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Native 'Sonos' style client for OS X and Windows
Hey folks, I'm working on something for my own use at the moment, but I was wondering how many of you would be interested in a 'Sonos' style system, where you can manage your currently playing playlist and sync etc and access online apps from the app? This is a (very) early screenshot, but might help give some idea on what I'm working on - I'm just curious as to the level of interest from folks? One can manage playlists, synching, online apps, and much more from the iphone/ipad app. Similar things with android devices too. Is that what you're talking about or something beyond the (extensive) capabilities of iPeng, for example. if you haven't, you should definitely check out iPeng7 before delving too far into your own development work. You may be reinventing the wheel. Heya, iPeng is only for iOS though, I'm not targeting iOS or Android, as there are already a load of squeezebox controllers on there, but there doesn't seem to be anything for OS X and Windows - I personally hate using the web interface, and having been inspired by using Sonos at someone else's house, I thought it was a great implementation and thought it would be great to have something similar on squeezebox. britcowboy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101841 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I wasn't aware of Moose, that is interesting, however I'm primarily a Mac user, so it doesn't really help me :( And yeah, a style similar to that Sonos controller, I think it's a nicely designed controller, and would work well on squeezebox. britcowboy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101841 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'd be happy to accept contributions (i.e. working code to be included), though. However, I still plan to investigate why remote tracks are not displayed properly, and fix this (unless is turns out this would be a major effort). Can't promise a timeline for this, though, as I'm rather busy ATM. That's fine - I understand, however in the screenshot on Google Code 'My Apps' is in the dropdown list, is this something that was removed, as I don't see it? I might try and do something with this, but can't promise anything as I'd have a big learning curve! Where is a copy of the code? Can only see the repo.xml on Google Code. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
Hey, This looks really good, thanks (much better than the 90s inspired default design)! The only problem is that I'm mostly an online services guy, and I don't see any Apps, and when I am playing stuff through starting on the default skin, it doesn't show anything on the playlist. Unfortunately due to this I'll have to return to the default skin, but I hope one day you'll find the time to implement online services :) If I was more well versed on LMS and Perl/Python I'd give it a go myself, but I wouldn't know where to start! (I'm more of a .NET guy myself) Great work though, I really appreciate the amount of work that's gone into this :) Thanks britcowboy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98186 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
