Yeah the 128 sounds good on my SB3. The content is exceptionally well curated, have not found Jazz channel Ive liked nearly as well. Their fund raising campaign is pretty heavy though right now. I've been listening to The Jazz Groove 128K stream for about a year, just discovered that they have subscription based hi Rez streams available...its web protocols, browser only for now. Any of you Squeezebox app gurus Jazz fans who could whip something up for my trusty SB3 to get the higher bit rates? The plugin Michael refers to is for use with a Logitech Music Server (LMS). LMS is a software application that runs on a variety of hardware including Mac and Windows. Many of us run LMS on old Macs or PCs, it can also house your music library. If you are just wanting to use my squeezebox only, I haven't found a way to make the FLAC steams work but the 320 AAC are very good..plus they send the album info and artwork where FLAC doesn't (or at least to not used to). I just bumped into this same problem as I moved and haven't set up my LMS hardware yet and was scratching my head while FLAC streams weren't playing. dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Updated to 7.9.2 - 1560587554 @ Sat Jun 15 10:44:33 Updated to Material Skin 8.1 Things seem to be snappier on my Early 2009 Mac Mini server. Next song button is crisp, used to lag/hang. Not sure if it was RP or Material skin but working really fast now. This past week: -I only had a few songs hang (and after 5-10 seconds, start where they stopped). -Did occasionally have 1 song play into another, overlapped, that happened 3-4 times. Clicking Next Song button cleared it up. -Background cover images occasionally took a while to update, would display previous album or question mark for a number of seconds. Today's updates seem to have fixed everything. Thanks for doing all the stuffs Michael and crew. I listen to RP 6 hours a day during week so am really happy to have this stuff be so well maintained. dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

However I can't find the plugin to enable it. I've rebooted, searched active/inactive, can't see it. I've tried accessing .9000/Material in the various specified calls but only get a message that says: There is no "Material" skin, try :9000/ instead. I tried permutations of the IP address of server, server name, local host etc...same message. I may have installed this a long time ago during first setup then disabled it without exploring what it was. Wondering if its somehow hidden. I updated plugin on LMS and have tried this URL: http://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-flac I can't get it to work, have tried it by adding it both to favorites in LMS as well as favorite on mysqueezebox.com. For each, what I see is the song start, the album cover and song info syncs...then in player window it resolves to a specific server: http://icy-8.radioparadise.com/mellow-flac. FWIW, your description of timer/ buffer problems sounds right, as sometimes my artist info gets out of sync..sometimes skipping the song seems to reset and problem will go away for a bit. I use SBT exclusively at moment. Happy to help with troubleshooting if theres anything needs captured on user side. I see, thanks for clarifying. So where's this leave the plugin? Are we in a dead end with RP since its LMS? dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Several of us are still seeing periods of hangs. Is the plugin using the Flac stream Bill at RP is working on improving? (which would give us hope this is eventually resolved). Or is the plugin using something else from RP and this is just something we'll have to become accustomed to? dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yeah, its happening right now for me on the Mellow Mix pretty regularly, been listening for past 2 hours, just started in past 30 minutes. I guess its possible there's something in the plugin that needs tweaked. I was perusing the RP forum for first time, looks like they're working on it, which is good enough for me for now. What they do is unique; I'd rather send Bill $50 year for the great content and high quality. I do wish they'd offer a 320bit option for the Mellow Mix, would be good enough for my gear. Sound quality is nice...but its the curation that won me over, they know how to program a channel. I listen 4-6 hours a day and am super picky. And Jazz...would love a Jazz channel. dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
I've been getting dropouts, sometimes extended, sometimes intermittent. I listen almost exclusively to the Mellow Mix via SBT/LMS. I haven't tried the FLAC URL or lower resolution streams yet. I've discovered so much great music, love what they're doing. I hope they get it sorted. I also look forward to expanded offering via Amazon Echo so I can listen to Mellow Mix in the kitchen, currently only the main channel's available via my Show. My LMS is on dedicated Mac connected directly to the router to SBT over WiFi 10' from the Netgear 7000P router. I've looked at the server stats in real time, nothing going on CPU, Network, RAM wise...other streaming apps working at same time no issue (podcast via iTunes). I'm on 100Mbs connection. Is there a way to increase the LMS or SBT buffer to accommodate perhaps? Not sure the mechanics behind it...but I don't mind waiting for startup if it cures the drops. dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

What's the best format/bitrate you can get out of Tidal just using mysqueezebox.com to control your player? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.3 and XM radio
Unfortunately I bought the paid up subscription, 3 years for XM. I too have XM in my car, which I love. I haven't coded in years, I'm wondering what language the plugin is written in? It shouldn't be rocket science, I'd think XM would want this now that their online subscription is a revenue stream -- dmcdayton dmcdayton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10482 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56497 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.3 and XM radio
What the heck. Finally get my home theater setup after living out of boxes for a year...and now my XM doesn't work through Squeezebox? That's BS. XM is charging for online content now, they should pay someone to build the plugin. They were so stupid to pursue all the proprietary radios when the money was in content all along.
