I'm seeing 'connection reset by local host'. I can browse tracks on the GUI as normal, but nothing plays. Is this a file types problem? Or something else? All ideas welcome. Hi there, I've installed v 5.10.7, using ILONDON167 Wunderground code, and have cut and pasted the API key. But I'm seeing no weather info at all, both in the 'Off Clock' screensaver on my SB radio, and in the Extras SuperDateTime in the Radio menus. Can anyone help? Hi there, I just tried to install this, as per the instructions in this thread to uninstall the old one, find the plugins directory, unzip the new one into the plugins directory etc, but although SDT appears in the plugins list, I cannot access the settings (there is no settings to click on the plugins page, and no settings in 'Advanced'. Hi Triode, or anyone else who can help I have installed LMS after upgrading my PC to Windows 7. All is fine except the Spotify settings page says 'helper app not running'. I have put spotifyd.exe on the Windows firewall exception list, and installed the C++ thing. Hi there Apologies if this is covered already in this thread, but is it possible to customise the left hand menu items within 'My Music' on the main iPad screen? I use Custom Browse, and I get both the Custom Browse menu items showing as well as the standard Squeezebox Server items showing, which means that items such as 'Albums' and 'Artists' show twice. Erland (or anyone else), There's another post on the SB Server forum from several people asking for the equivalent of the 'RSS News Ticker' plugin for Touch etc for use as a screensaver. I have found the official Logitech Info Browser applet, but that just displays news pages and doesn't automatically scroll through different stories. Is this possible with Information Screen? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Idea For A New Plugin
... unless of course one exists already and I've overlooked it! I work in an office of around 40 people, and we have four Squeezebox booms sync'd. People use the web UI to choose tracks. It works really well, with the only snag being that one or two people have shocking musical taste! It would be great if the UI could display who chose a track, and even better would be some kind of aggregated rating system, so people could rate tracks and we could ban or skip tracks that everyone hates. Is this feasible? When I press and hold the play button on the remote, a MusicIP mix is generated and plays, but the player screen doesn't show the mix (nor switches to Now Playing), but instead stays on the album I selected the track to mix from. Is there a fix for this? I'm sure it didn't used to behave like this. Thanks for the help guys in getting this working again (I'm now running SDT 5.8.12 again with the 5.8.14 plugin.pm). The only glitch is that the 'feels like' temperature is back to minus 17 degrees celsius (which admittedly in London right now doesn't feel far off the reality!). [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP Headless - strange problem
I have used MusicIP headless without problems for several years now, but I'm now trying to install it on a new server running Windows XP. I've followed Spicefly's instructions and the advice on this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61583 I think I have a new problem however! The GUI works fine and my 8,000-odd tracks are fully analysed. I then closed the GUI, edited mmm.ini to point to the default.m3lib in the application data folder, set the port to 10002, and installed and started musicmagicserver. http://localhost:10002 initialy showed 0 tracks. I then pointed it to my music folder (on the same machine but separate drive) and it found around 4,500 tracks, but not the full 8,000. The headless version does not seem to be picking up any of my AAC files, which seems to account for the difference. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'm not even sure whether I can 'reset' the headless library and start again) (Incidentally, I had previously set a filter in the GUI to filter out non AAC files. I did this when I transferred my library to archive the analysis, but ran into problems with AAC files due to a known MusicIP issue with archiving analysis of AAC files. I've since deleted this filter. Could this help with diagnosis?) Erland I seem to have 'lost' my 'various artists' section! I'm using the standard CB Genres menu, and have the 'various artists section' option ticked. In SC I have 'group compilations together' selected. But both in the web browser and on the Squeezeboxes I no longer get a 'various artists' section - just 'all albums' then a list of individual albums. I used to see 'all albums', then 'various artists', then individual albums. Can you help? I've been using SuperDateTime for a good couple of years now, and really appreciate all the work that's gone in to it. A small but annoying problem has emerged more recently, I think it was from SC 7.0 onwards. Every one or two days or so (but randomly times), I lose the weather info, and only get the weather.com logo and asterisk. I then have to restart Squeezecenter. I guess this might be caused by a momentary loss of internet connection, but in the past I didn't have to restart the server to get the screensaver working correctly. (By the way, on another Squeezebox I use RSS News Ticker which also uses web feeds, and that doesn't have the same problem. If this is a bug, on the forums I can't find anyone else with the same problem! Any advice welcome? Hi Greg I've just upgraded Super Date Time, and when I click on Settings from the Plugins menu I see: 404 Not Found: settings/plugins/SuperDateTime/settings/basic.html I tried deleting the whole SuperDateTime folder and reinstalling (and restarting too) but no joy. Apologies if the answer to this is elsewhere, but I can't find it. What I would like to do is to adapt the standard CB Genre Menu to display all albums for an artist, rather than only those within the initially selected Genre. I.e. Music Library Genres Artist [FULL ALBUM LIST] In the main SC settings, I have selected the option to show all albums for artist, rather than only those within the genre. But CB seems to ignore this preference. (I might be wrong, but I think this has changed since SC 7.2, and that CB used to observe this preference). Is there a solution to this? Hi Erland/anyone else who can help. Since installing Squeezecenter 7.2.1 Custom Browse is not working on my SB2s, nor Softsqueeze. I only have Genres enabled within Custom Browse. It works normally on the web UI, but on a player when I select Music Library Genres, I keep getting just the title 'Genres' repeated every time I press the right button, instead of a list of the Genres. I can confirm the problem is confined to the Custom Browse track level menu, not the standard track level menu (nor the Custom Browse genre and album menus).
