[SlimDevices: Plugins] Vanishing Performers
Hello Erland, I have a standing problem with the ''performers'' (as I designate the interpreters - aka singers - in operas and oratorios). After having followed the instructions (setup browse menu - setup dynamic menu - setup support for custom tags) I have all the performers in the Song info page (see screenshot A). After a variable but short period I find that the the performers have vanished (see screenshot B, taken 10 days later). The names are still in the database, if you click on ''performers'' in the standard or in the custom browse menu you get them all - but they have disappeared from the song info page. Why? What happened to the plugins? I have done nothing to the program, I still run 7.5.5. and still use custom scan (2.11.3358) and custom browse (2.8.3363) plugins. Can you help me ? [SlimDevices: Plugins] I Got Double Vision
Oh well, now I have another stoopid problem... I followed Erlands tutorials to scan my files (classical) by tags and now I can scan perfectly Artists, Composers,Genres, Years - everything but CONDUCTORS. With Conductors I get a curious anomaly : every name appears twice. The corrisponding music files are the same, but the first time the name has only one SQL icon, the second it has six icons : BR,SQL,mixSQL,PL,Mx and TS , as you can see in the attached screenshot. I've read that seeing double is called displopia : how should I cure it? My problem is that when I unzip and move, for instance, CustomScan or CustomBrowse to to C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\\server\plugins they DO appear there but they DO NOT appear in SqueezeCenter's Settings Plugins. WHY? No, I run SqueezeCenter 7.3.1 on WinXP -never had trouble unzipping archives. Anyway, I have gone to the Extension Downloader : it has installed CustomScan but apparently refuses to install the CustomBrowse plugin : why ? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins do not install
I am running windows XP and Transporter. I have downloaded the Custom Skip plugin, unzipped it on the desktop and moved it to C:\Program Files\Squeezecenter\server\plugins. Then I opened again SqueezeCenter: the plugin had regularly appeared in 'Extras' and everything is allright. But when I tried the same thing with other plugins (Custom Scan, Custom Browse, Track Stat and Dynamic Playlist) the plugins have not appeared in the 'extras' and they do not work. Thinking I had made someting wrong I reinstalled (with a clean install) Squeezecenter and redid eveything again : same results. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Browse music by tags problem
Hi, I've tried to setup a dynamic menu to browse music by tags but when I tried to create the browse menu this happened: I selected Manage menus, then clicked the 'Create new menu' link and got two lines :Select type of menu to create(nothing doing, dead line) and download more menus, which when clicked gave :You have to specify a template directory.
