Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
I guess the problem with this workaround is that I'm woken by whatever it is I was listening to last. In other words, I can't go to sleep listening to my music library and be woken by the radio. Unless I'm missing something? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
Ah nice one. I was wondering why I was getting beeped at in the morning since changing from an AlienBBC to an iPlayer favourite for my alarm. Why doesn't the alarm simply fire off the favourite the same way as when you select it to play from the remote or the web interface? Has a bug been opened for this? -- rickwookie rickwookie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68354 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
If I use iPlayers BBC Radio 4 Live as an alarm the Boom plays the default alarm. I've set the iPlayer BBC Radio 4 live feed as both a playlist and a favourite and tried selecting either in my alarm settings but neither works and the backup default always plays instead. I had the same problem with 7.3.3 and only upgraded to 7.4 (clean install) to get this fucstionality to work. It's disappointing that it doesn't. :-( MC -- ModelCitizen Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
I think this has been mentioned before through I thought the problem was setting as Favorite. As a workaround until it gets sorted why not have a special R4 WMA feed favorite for alarms ? -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68354 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
It has been mentioned before, or something like it has, but it was for 7.3.* I though. I'd assumed it had been cured for 7.4. Anyway, I've got a bit further with this now and it does appear to be a problem (at least) with favourites and the alarm. The list of favourites as presented by the alarm is not the current list of favourites. The list I am being presented with is old. As I did (what I thought) was a clean install of 7.4 yesterday this makes no sense at all. What I need to do now is attempt to get the alarm to seem my current list of favourites, then I'll take it from there. Dunno how to do this though. :-( MC -- ModelCitizen Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.4: Alarm will not play iPlayer streams
So there is a woraround for this: Play the stream you want to listen too on the player then set the alarm using current playlist as the alarm. This will store the stream including enough information to restart it in the alarm handler. The issue here is that alarms do not support the extended format supported by favorites for playing iplayer stations. This requires both a url and a parser to be stored. However with the latest iplayer the above workaround should work. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68354 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
