Working fine for me Jaca. However, JazzFM is notorious - in my

Looks like login is required to access Audio on Demand trough jazzfm

I hope Triode could amend his plugin to allow input for login
information on LMS plugin settings.

Apologies if this has been asked for, but is there any possibility of an
auto-retry-connect option when encountering a 400 Server Full or other

It doesn't have to be one attempt per millisecond, but something along
the lines of one attempt per one or two seconds would be great.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: JazzFM Plugin

2011-04-13 Thread whitman

I've been using the plugin for a while, and more or less exclusively to
listen to the Dinner Jazz show. Almost always, after a short time of
listening, a very short break in the audio will occur (maybe one
second), then a few minutes later another, and so on.

It makes it impossible to listen to.

Anything else I listen to on my SB3, including other net radio feeds,
is fine. This seems to be a problem with JazzFM only.

Any ideas?

Thats the url the first live stream from the plugin uses. However it
seems to have capacity issues so will not always work. Squeezebox
server also identifies it as mp3 sometimes. I've not worked out
whether this is a problem identifying it or whether they have a more
than one stream source behind that url and you get one or the other
type.

The other live stream (low) is: http://listen.onmyradio.net:8000

implement flash, only rtmp and the amf0 object serialisation needed to

Triode,

I've installed this plugin (many thanks) but, while I can see it on my
squeezeboxserver menu, under 'internet radio' and after BBC iPlayer, it
isn't appearing within my Touch menu.

I've tried switching the Touch off and on again (which doesn't really
do much, I realise), but not doing a reset. I wonder, is this just a
'lag' thing, or could it be something else?

Also, I'm fairly sure that when I tuned to Jazz FM prior to plugin
installation, it was at 96kbps, but now it's at 64kbps (or did I
imagine 96?).

Thanks,

As for bitrate - this plugin uses flash rtmp streams which I have not

they stream to their desktop clients, which I assumed would be their

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: JazzFM Plugin

2011-03-05 Thread Furry

Triode;615613 Wrote:
Looks like the listen again stream vary from 96 to 128k bitrate, but the
live stream I am using is 64k. Perhaps I should remove the live stream
or just link to the other stream you are using for the live stream
 (which is it?)

The stream I'd previously selected was the one found by Internet Radio
/ Search / 'Jazz FM', although now (as I've said above), this provides
64kbps since I installed the plugin.

I have no idea whether installing the plugin would/could have any
bearing on what stream results when 'tuning' this way, rather than
using the plugin (it does seem unlikely), and I might be mistaken about
it previously having been 96kbps, so using that instead may not have any
beneficial.

BTW, the Jazz FM logo isn't showing when using the plugin stream.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: JazzFM Plugin

2011-03-05 Thread Triode

Just updated to version 0.2

This changes to use the shoutcast feeds for JazzFM live and only uses
the rtmp feed for listen again. The First live feed is 128k and the
second 64k

Also adds station logo and tidies up some rough edges.

Let me know how well it works..

Can now choose 64kbps or 128kbps streams, however still no station
logo.

errrwhere is the 'Other 3rd Party plugins list'? ;-)

BBCiPlayer plugin and it requires you update to the very latest version
of this (updated today to make this work).

Touch/Radio playback may not work at present - if you have this problem
then set proxied streaming for internet radio for these players.

Let me know what you think.

On the squeezebox server web interface - go to the settings page and
then to the plugins page within that. At the bottom there is a box to
tick to show Show all 3rd party plugins, click accept and the page
should refresh showing additional plugins with a heading of Other 3rd
party plugins.

Ah yes! I'd never checked that option before and I assumed that you
meant a list on the Forum.

Installed and working...thank you.
