I've been meaning to get samba working eventually anyway maybe I'll take the opportunity to create a new directory on my Linux/SS machine and make it r/w access to one or two PCs running Windows/iTunes... then use iTunes to manage the music, and SS to play it through my SB/Transporter etc. And to think.. I used to listen to records with a sewing needle pushed through a milk carton... :-) I see iTunes has a WAV encoder, and an Apple Lossless... I'm assuming that's proprietary... I'll stick with WAV...
