Thanks for the reply, the BBC iplayer app that I downloaded from the
third party apps a couple of years ago still seems to be playing Listen
Again programs ( in 44.1 bitrate) but the Listen Live feeds (which were
up to 192 bitrate) have gone and I just get the recorded voice
explaining about WMA.

I basically would like to get things back as close as I can back to the
way they were .. Sorry I know that sounds simplistic ( but so am I) but
the joys of the BBC iPlayer was everything was there easy to hand ..
I've looked at the thread about the BBC iplayer but I'm still not sure
if I do what Ronnie recommended will this put everything back it was
before the change to WMA?

I have my SB Touch with digital output to a CA DACMagic, the Touch is
hardwired to my network and I run LMS for WHS on a Window Home Server V1
which has all my music files in FLAC.

Steve

OK. So to use the plugin, you'll need to register, first, at
www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze
There'll be instructions issued on how to download and install the
plugin.
You're right to say the HLS streams are not in the MySB app. That is
because they cannot be decoded in MySB mode.

The BBC streams in MySB should be in both WMA (for now) and mp3 formats.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds UK Ireland plugin now listing BBC HLS streams

2015-02-16 Thread vinnielo

We've now added a menu item that'll point to the BBC's HLS streams:
- 48k/96k AAC+ international streams (notated by '^' and '^^'
respectively)
- 128k/320k AAC domestic streams (which should air any live sports
coverage), notated by '^^^' and '' respectively.

An installation of FFMPEG on the server is required.
More information on this can be found at
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103158-Announce-PlayHLS-Plugin-plugin-to-play-Apple-HLS-m3u8-stream
Unfortunately, not every platform will support this.

Access to these streams can be found through RadioFeeds UK Ireland -
Browse UK Radio by Name - BBC HLS streams
Because of the large number of streams available, these streams will not
show up in genre browse, nor in search results.

Thanks go to those who have figured out how to play these HLS streams on
the Squeezebox.

below.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds Plugin won't load

2011-08-04 Thread Stone Free

I tried to follow the instructions at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/mypicks
which points you to
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeCenter_Plugins

That says:

For Linux servers, the plugins directory is typically
/usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins, /usr/local/squeezecenter/Plugins or
/opt/squeezecenter/Plugins.

Which doesn't map correctly on the QNAP

The SBS Info page has two directories:
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins,
/share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/SqueezeBoxServer/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins

I've also found another one:
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins

That is totally empty, I have other 3rd Party ones from repositories.
I'm assuming that the first one listed by SBS is the correct one as it
has some folders I recognise as matching plugin names, however having
now rebooted twice (a second time after the plugins page asked for a
restart), I can't seem to find where or if the plugin has been
installed.

First I put it in the first one from the SBS Info page, when I rebooted
the server the plugins page asked for a restart, but after that nothing
new appeared in the plugins. Yesterday morning I looked in that
directory and the RadioFeedsSBS sub-directory had disappeared. I've now
put it in the second directory.

This time the plugins page shows PLUGIN_RADIOFEEDSSBS (v1.02) Plugin
failed to load The AlienBBC Team and Vincent Lo

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds plugin - potential problem with SBS?

2010-07-27 Thread pippin

I only tested it on 7.6 but there you have a few issues with it, mainly
that the installation of strings seems to be broken, I get no menu
names but only tags

Apart from that:How can I tell the two versions of the menu apart? they
do indeed look the same for me.

OK, could this be going on:

your plugin is registering commands and menus under the name
radiofeeds
Could it be that that's actually the same name under which the built-in
MySB App registers it's commands?
In that case it would probably take precedence and you get redirected
to that menu when using SqueezePlay based devices to render the menu.

Try changing that command name to something like radiofeeds_plugin.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds plugin - potential problem with SBS?

2010-06-27 Thread vinnielo

This only concerns users of the plugin that is installed via the Plugins
folder, and not just via the App Gallery on MSB.

This RadioFeeds should add an item to the Internet Radio section of the
menu. However, loading up item seems to point to the MSB version of
RadioFeeds, (i.e. AAC+ stations are not shown), rather than the SBS
version. Another way of telling is that the title displayed clearly
says RadioFeeds for mysqueezebox, when it is loaded.

What I'd like to know is if this is an isolated problem with my
installation of SBS (7.5.1) or if other users are having a similar
issue with RadioFeeds/SBS?

Reports would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds UK Ireland for MyPicks - TEST

2007-12-20 Thread vinnielo

Hello,

After successfully providing up-to-date feeds for the Reciva-based
internet radios, I'd now like to try comprehensive testing of feeds for
Slimserver/MyPicks.

If you use Slimserver with a Squeezebox and would like to try out the
feeds, please email me at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/form.html stating that
you'd like to try out the SlimServer feeds.

I'd prefer to test with those who are able to respond to emails swiftly
(except during the festive period! :)), so please say so if you think
this is you.

Depending on how the tests go, I'm likely to launch this service fully
sometime in the new year.

Mr Webster, if you're reading this, feel free to IM me.

Vinnie
