Thanks for the information. I still haven't been able to get this going. I purchased SqueezeCtrl and used SB Player but was unable to get metadata to show up on the cars display. Other apps I've tried(Pandora and the phones audio player) show the metadata so it's a bit confusing. Are there settings to look over possibly somewhere to enable the feature possibly or something? Another thing to keep in mind is that it's also dependent on the bluetooth implementation in your phone. Due to a sudden loss of the ability to read the SIM card on my main phone (rather essential for a phone :p) I'm currently using a backup phone, and using the same apps in the same car, I'm not getting metadata displayed ... For Squeezeboxes, it has to be the controller that sends the metadata because the players do not receive any metadata from the server, only control information and the URL to stream from. Squeeze Ctrl supports sending metadata thru Bluetooth. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Track info over bluetooth on car display using Orange Squeeze?
So I can't seem to get this working. I have a Android, Samsung S4 phone that I'm using. Pause and skip already works over bluetooth but the metadata when the display is up isn't populating. Anyone have any ideas what works? I've used the following combinations: Orange Squeeze and SB Player Orange Squeeze and SqueezePlayer I thought it would be the player that would send the metadata. Is it the controller?
