On my Mac, I created a script that bzip'd the 5MB, and then deleted any
backup older than 7 days.
(I don't use Trackstat anymore, so I no longer have the script)

No, you have to do it manually.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat Backup Files?

2011-12-11 Thread MeSue

So you always have a backup that's no more than 24 hours old. You can
turn off the automatic backups and just make them manually, or just
delete the older ones as they build up.

Here's the wiki entry on Trackstat:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/TrackStat_plugin

If you have other questions just post them in the forum.

Because the database can sometimes be deleted by standard SBS code,
especially during upgrades, or become corrupt if SBS or computer is
shutdown in a middle of a database operation. If you don't have a
backup when this happens, all your ratings and all your playback
history would be lost.

You can clean-up old backup files, I usually keep the files for the
last month or so.

In addition to the link in the previous post by MeSue, it might also be
worth to look at the following page which describes the possibilities
you have to setup rating support:
