Doh!  
I was thrown off because the lists are sorted differently, so I did not
see the newest one when using the 
"Rubriken -> Hoerspiel -> Alle Sendungen -> (i.e.) Kein Mucks"
path 
(If I am not mistaken, that behavior must have changed at some point in
time, as I think I saw the newest ones on top in the past)

So, the remaining problem for me is the missing synopsis as described
initially.
(And as you see different behaviors for that on your development and
QNAP System: Are you on the same material plugin Version on these
systems?
I am asking since I think I observed the changing synopsis behavior
after a material plugin update. (However, I am not 100% certain about
that)

This behavior is correct. "Kein Mucks" has 59 episodes. If you search
for "Kein Mucks" the Audiothek will return more Episodes because there
are similar words to "Mucks" ie. "Mücke". Those results are the other 41
entries. If you scroll down you will see those after all 59 episodes of
"Kein Mucks".
In addition to that the Audiothek's search is limited to return 100
results, even if you have set "Elemente pro Seite" to a bigger value.

In case it helps to find the problem:
Even if I increase "Elemente pro Seite", I get a maximum of 59 entries
when I query via 
Rubriken -> Hoerspiel -> Alle Sendungen -> (i.e.) Kein Mucks 

However, using "Suche" of the Plugin and enter i.e. "Kein Mucks" (and
then select 'Episoden'), I get 100 entries

(all done in classic skin)

Nope, you can find it in User Interface->Maxium items per page
(Benutzeroberfläche ->Elemente pro Seite). Setting this to 1000 should
work.
But i noticed that with the maximum set to ie. 50 paging for programsets
does not work, as you mentioned. Another bug to fix :D

But regarding the current issue: 
Unfortunaltely, also in the classic skin I only see the 'old' entries
(the exact same as in the material skin) - not the newer ones.
(Is the ""max items shown" parameter" this one in germam: "Maximale
Länge der Wiedergabeliste" under Erweitert / Leistung? I have that set
to 500 - and changing that to 1000 does not have an effect on the list)

Material skin does not use the "max items show" parameter. With the next
update the maximum items shown in the app is set to 1000, with that all

to replicate the issue I described above, you need to follow this path:
Rubriken -> Hoerspiel -> Alle Sendungen -> (i.e.) Kein Mucks ->
individual Episode: "Mehr Details" selection is not available

Additionally, I noticed just now that the entire above query path seems
to be broken! (And maybe that is the 'real' problem)
-> only old episodes are visible - none of the newer ones


As a comparison, if I start at the Top level "Suche" of the Plugin and
enter i.e. "Kein Mucks" (and then select 'Episoden'), I do get the newer
episodes - and also the "Mehr" selection is available and contains as
expected the Synopsis of the episodes!


So, in summary, I think the query through "Rubriken -> Hoerspiel
-> Alle Sendungen " seems to be broken(*)

-> Is there a chance you can address this, @mzedd?


(*) If I use the iPhone App 'ARD Mediathek', which behaves structurally
similar to your Plugin, the above query path still woks as expected.

I use this plugin on a daily basis and it is great. Thank you, @mzedd
However, recently, something does not work consistently anymore - the
program synopsis does (mostly) not show.
For some podcasts it works - and for other it doesn't. (And it worked
before consistently)
Here is what I mean:
When I am in the "NDR Hörspielbox Podcast", synopsis is not shown - the
more entry in the material skin is missing:
36622

But when I am i.e. in the MDR Kultur "Hörspiele", synopsis is shown -
the more entry in the material skin is available:
36623

To make things further confusing - I *do* see the above quoted missing
entry from the "NDR Hörspielbox Podcast", if I view it via the classic
web view: 
36621

So I am not sure, if this is a ARD Audiothek plugin issue, or a material
plugin issue - or an incompatibility of the 2.

Maybe @cpd73 can have a look as well?

ARD Audiothek now has the entire (I think) set of ARD RadioFestival
programs.   Lots of superb classical music and interesting Jazz.  Made
possible by this great app.Thanks, Listened to Alan Gilbert and the
Elbephilhamonie this afternoon in a program of Prokofiev and
Tchaikovsky.You need to search a little, an perhaps consult the
website, but everything I saw there was available in the app.

I have a question/feature request: The kids love the radioMikro
episodes. How complicated would it be to implement e.g. a "saved search"
favorite, so they can easily navigate to it? We have sb radios, where
favorites 1-6 are physical buttons, radio mikro has episodes, that means
I would like to map the episode list as favorite.

Hi,
i just pushed v0.1.7. In this minor release i replaced the pseudo
protocol handler with a proper one, because the pseudo one was
destroying the current playlist when you added another episode.

The only thing i observed with an account was that you can create
bookmarks which sync on all your devices. Could be a nice feature, but
the account authentication works via the ARD account management system

that. But I've decided to leave this feature for a future release after
v1.0.

Funny, i only passed the duration in seconds from the ARD Audiothek API
to the LMS. No formatting on my side of the code :D

Next release will be 1.0. For that i have to clean and refactor the code
and optimize caching. When v1.0 is ready i will open an "Announce"
thread with all infos on the plugin and to get verification for the 3rd
party plugins repo.

view - next one is the major release 1.0.0 :)

in the episode info. In addition to that i implemented a pseudo protocol
handler which gets the streaming url from the episode id. With that
favorites are now independent of their streaming URL, which can change
due to caching in e.g. Akamai servers. The next step is to do the same
for shows and playlists. 

If you have ideas or feature requests for the plugin just write a post
here. I still have some small things to change and implement but then
the v1.0 release will probably follow in the next days/weeks.

When using Material Skin (or some other Apps like OrangeSqueeze): 
If I I select a std. Podcast (i.e. not through your App) - for example:

Hello,

here is the first very early release. Since this is my first project
written in perl and with the LMS i had some trouble at first. This
Version (v0.0.1) just supports searching for single audio content. The
categories button is a placeholder. I will improve this version with
more meta-data stuff and other features in the near future.
