Thanks for the link, it does seem like a BBC Radio 4 problem as every other radio station works fine, regardless where in the world it comes from. Even other BBC streams work fine although some posters in that BBC thread have experienced difficulties with other BBC channels. It looks like audio data is not being sent by BBC, being blocked by network or the delay is too long for current SBS settings. Try increasing WebUI Settins/Advanced/Network/Radio Station Timeout to say 20 secs and see if it makes a difference. Interesting - that log is different to the previous log and the last few
lines indicate that BBC is sending Audio back to your SBS. So the
problem is either intermittent network quality/connection or SBS.
Any idea what was changed between reboots - any updates applied to any
part of the system ?
Can you do a log with plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp set to INFO and
player.source set to INFO. Hopefully this should show up any SBS
problems.

No point providing a log of a working system. I think the problem was network or BBC server related. With the BBC RealAudio service - server banks handle regions so when problems happened only some users were affected. What version of BBCiPlayer ? As a workaround try the BBC App (install from App Gallery) and see if Radio 4 works. Well, that's true but two things break at the same time and they could be related, it was just an observation. Well, that's true but two things break at the same time and they could

Coincidences happen but reading the SDT thread and it is clear there is
a specific problem about the weather feed and a change in format - so in
this case I think the SDT issue is separate and should not cloud the
issue.
Version 1.0.1 is the latest - has the problem started since the last
reboot/ restart or has the R4 stream suddenly stopped connecting and SBS
or PC had not been rebooted/restarted in the meantime.
From the log - BBciPlayer looks like it has made contact with BBC and
has asked for a stream but there is difference after message type 18.
It looks like BBC is not responding or perhaps something is blocking the
response. Can you repeat your log with plugins.bbciplayer.rtmp set to
DEBUG
