Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Beta build 0.0.16b is now available to those on the experimental repo. - For Europa Jazz Radio - strip from the end of the title the optional trailing record speed indicator (33RPM etc) - Add experimental cover art search for stations that do not have any ... for now, enabled for Caroline Flashback You can disable the cover art lookup via a new field on the Settings page. For now, the default is that it is enabled. Note - this means that a lookup to an external system (mine for now) would be performed. So your IP address and other characteristics the request would be visible at my web server. If you do not want that then disable the function. If I had it disabled by default then I suspect that almost no-one would realise that this facility exists. While testing I also had it enabled for Europa Jazz Radio - another station that does not provide any cover art - but the lookup success on old jazz tracks is not very successful for now at least so I did not enable it for this station in this build. The search is done after the track info has been found ... and it is asynchronous ... so this means that you might see a flash of the station logo before the cover art arrives. GIGO Last track failed to find artwork Their web site shows Hermans?Hermits - There's A Kind Of Hush (All Over The World) The apostrophe is annoying and I suppose I could do something about it ... but the ? where the space should be is, I guess, where they had an unusually encoded space character and their routines replaced it with a question mark. I really don't want to mess around with trying to guess characters. So some misses are because of the song data source - and others are simply because they are probably too obscure. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.2 and LMS 8.2 - Spotty stopped working...
I am having trouble getting Spotty working since I installed LMS 8.2. It has been working for donkey's years, with no problems. But suddenly, I'm getting (in red writing) There has been a problem running the Spotty helper application. Most likely your operating system and/or platform is not supported. Please report the following details to me: Operating system: piCore / armv8l-linux Helper Applications Folder: /usr/local/slimserver/Bin/armhf-linux /usr/local/slimserver/Bin /usr/local/sbin /usr/local/bin /sbin /usr/sbin /bin /usr/bin /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/arm-linux This is on a rPi, running LMS under PiCore. I'm 99% sure it stopped working when I upgraded to 8.2 - though I haven't used it for a while. The "normal" LMS functionality (from my home library) is working fine. I've tried the obvious things of reinstalling Spotty, restarting LMS etc. I haven't yet tried downgrading to LMS 8.1 - I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it. The server log file has the following:- [21-11-24 11:07:54.9972] main::init (390) Starting Logitech Media Server (v8.2.0, 1627922070, Tue Aug 3 11:43:18 CEST 2021) perl 5.028002 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int [21-11-24 11:08:19.6054] Plugins::Spotty::Connect::canSpotifyConnect (84) Cannot support Spotty Connect, need at least helper version 0.12.0 [21-11-24 11:08:25.6421] Plugins::Spotty::Helper::get (51) Didn't find Spotty helper application! Though I can't see how I can reset my Spotify credentials if the Spotty helper isn't working. The rPi is a Model B rev 2. Any suggestions? Anything obvious I should be looking at? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.2 and LMS 8.2 - Spotty stopped working...
The rPi is a Model B rev 2. You'll have to install the additional SpottyARMPi0Bin plugin to make this work. Your issue has nothing to do with LMS, but that the helper binary currently shipped with Spotty is not compatible with the first generation Raspberry Pi. But then I'm a bit confused about "piCore / armv8l-linux": A Pi Model B wouldn't be armv8, would it? What's the info you find on Settings/Information? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.2 and LMS 8.2 - Spotty stopped working...
Thanks for your rapid response. Settings/Information looks like this:- Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 - 1627922070 @ Tue Aug 3 11:43:18 CEST 2021 Hostname: piCoreLMS Server IP Address: 192.168.1.39 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: piCore - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: armv8l-linux Perl Version: 5.28.2 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int Audio::Scan: 1.02 IO::Socket::SSL: 2.066 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0) Total Players Recognized: 3 cat /proc/device-tree/model gives me:- Raspberry Pi Model B Rev 2 And this has definitely been working with the standard Spotty until recently - I was certainly using it about three/four weeks ago. Has there been an update to the helper recently that might have stopped it working? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
I have just enabled the alternative cover art finder for a few more stations that had no cover art Caroline Flashback, KlassikRadio.de, Naim Radio, Somehow Jazz, Supla (Finland) and Zog plus enabled it on Europa Radio Jazz to see if it can fill in some of their gaps. Looks like there are some issues with klassikradio.de and matching some of the stream URLs to a station name so I'll take a look at that. No more updates planned for today and unless someone spots a silly mistake in the next 2 hours. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hi All, Is there support for "sorting" a given artist's albums by release date in Qobuz? I use the Material Skin on Android. I often hear of a new artist and I dive into the Qobuz plugin to check that artist out. I search the artist name and then go into "Albums" after selecting the artist. Sometimes there are a large number of releases there. Is there a way to sort these by release date? Sometimes I want the latest release, etc. Currently I have to drill into each individual release and make note of release date and then back out and drill into the next one, etc. Thanks! dwc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1892 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Is there support for changing the sort order of results in the Material Skin (using Qobuz)? Use case: Using Material Skin, I want to be able to search an artist on a streaming plugin like Qobuz or Spotify, and them view that artist's "albums" with newest release on top. Currently, it's Apps -> Qobuz -> (search artist name) -> (select the artist from results) -> Albums ...but the list of Albums seems to be in arbitrary order, so I can't tell what's new or old from that artist. I'd like to "sort by release date" which I think is available as metadata.
