Actually the world has experienced abominations such as this and far
greater. The difference now is that the civilized world is moving
forward, or trying to, and the Islamic world is 500 years behind the
rest of civilization.and happy to be there.

You might read up on the horrors of the Mongol invasions in Central
Asia, Iran, Iraq, and Syria Much depopulation... That is why
Moslems use the Mongols as the standard for the horrors of war...
These ones recently, including the Iranian-Iraq war of of the 80's
are mere child's play in comparison...
