ports for GIS-related software: proj, geos and postgis

2005-12-16 Thread Eric Faurot
Hi,

For those interrested in GIS applications, I have written ports for
the following software I currently need:

* math/proj   PROJ.4 - Cartographic Projections Library
http://www.remotesensing.org/proj/
* math/geos GEOS (Geometry Engine - Open Source)
http://geos.refractions.net/
* databases/postgis OpenGIS Simple Features Specification for SQL
implementation for postgresql. (requires the two above)
http://postgis.refractions.net/

I've tried them on i386, amd64 and macppc. Some PostGIS
regression tests fail for the following reasons:
 - infinity stringified as 'Inf' instead of 'inf'
 - small variation in floating values between powerpc and i386/amd64

To run the postgis regression tests, you need a running postmaster.

Eric.

update: net/nmap

2005-12-16 Thread Sebastian Rother
takes nmap to 3.95. notable updates:

  - nmap goes on a diet
  - completely new manpage/help screen (plus translations)
  - nmapfe moves from gtk1 to gtk2

full changelog in source or http://www.insecure.org/nmap/changelog.html

Seems to work OK for me, i386-current as of December 12th.
I only built the no_x11 flavor, but looks good.

Works on oBSD/amd64-current too.

Seasm the crashes wich appear when you used -b and -sI are history
now. ;-)

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Here goes new version of gaim port. It's based on today's CVS sources. Have
 fun.

And here is new version of gaim-icb plugin. Works only with new gaim.
