Ogle is still one of the best dvd players out there (if not the best), with
support for chapters and menus that actually *works*. Plus, the intuitive
interface and bookmarkings (especially the goggles frontend).

It has a few (very few) limitations: it cannot be used to encode dvds, nor
does it support Closed-Caption subtitles.

Contrary to (say) mplayer, it also has a decent decoding model that use
separate processes for various things. Thus, it can play dvds on multi-core
machines that would be unable to do so otherwise (yes, I realize those are
a bit old these days).

Here is a test case for the vala API:

using Radare;

public static void main(string[] args) {

uint8 buf[3] = {0x49, 0x89, 0xd9};

RAsm st = new RAsm();
st.use(x86);
st.set_bits(64);

RAsm.Op op;
st.disassemble(out op, buf, 3);
print(Disassemble: '%s'\n, op.buf_asm);

Run:

Re: NEW: swfmill 0.3.0

2011-07-05 Thread Matthias Kilian
 Here is a port of swfmill 0.3.0.
[...]

make fake causes some files to be rebuilt. I don't insist in fixing
this, though, but it's a little bit ugly.

make regress fails, so you should probably set NO_REGRESS=Yes:
make  run-xml-tests
make: don't know how to make run-xml-tests. Stop in
/usr/obj/ports/swfmill-0.3.0/swfmill-0.3.0/test/xml.

Otherwise ok. If noone objects, I'll import this in a few days (with
NO_REGRESS=Yes and, if Brad has a fix for rebuilding stuff during
make fake, with that, too).

Ciao,
Kili

On Fri, Jun 24, 2011 at 01:21:16AM -0400, Brad wrote:
 Here is a port of swftools 0.9.1.

No need for all the patches, the following bits will do the trick:

FAKE_FLAGS= mandir=${WRKINST}${PREFIX}/man \
prefix=${WRKINST}${PREFIX}

post-install:
ln -fs simple_viewer.swf
${PREFIX}/share/swftools/swfs/default_viewer.swf
ln -fs tessel_loader.swf
${PREFIX}/share/swftools/swfs/default_loader.swf

strictly, this should use ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/swftools/swfs/... for
the sources, but the symlinks are simpler in the post-install above.

Also, it's GPLv2+, not GPLv2, according to some of the sources files
I looked at.

make regress fails (there's no check target), so it neede NO_REGRESS,
too.

The manpage for swfrender is empty, so I'll just @comment it in the
PLIST:

$ ls -l src/swfrender.1
-rw-r--r--  1 kili  wsrc  0 Aug  5  2009 src/swfrender.1

Otherwise, it looks ok portswise. I'll import it in a few days
unless someone still has objections.

Ciao,
Kili

minor update to print/poppler

2011-07-05 Thread Matthias Kilian
Very minor update to poppler-0.16.7, which contains three bug fixes:

core:
 * Fix memory leak on documents whose Catalog has no Pages entry
 * Check Catalog is a dictionary before using it (KDE Bug #274888)

utils:
 * pdftohtml: Do not crash in links without action

I'm building and testing this on amd64, arm, mips64el and powerpc
and if it doesn't fail, will commit it tomorrow.

Re: [update] mozilla-thunderbird 5.0

2011-07-05 Thread Brett

Hi ports people,

I am still trying to get Thunderbird 5 to work on i386.
In case it matters, I have Thunderbird 3.1.11 and Firefox 5 installed.
For a few days git would not download it, but now that is working
again. It seems to build almost all the way, then is missing library:

Can't create lightning-1.0beta4v0 because of libraries
|library lib/thunderbird-5.0/xpcom.18.0 not found
Fatal error: can't continue
 at /usr/libdata/perl5/OpenBSD/PkgCreate.pm line 1219

Possibly using -current kernel has caused an issue (generic kernel built
yesterday from cvs source, base system was June 24 snapshot). I don't
know if that would cause the above library version to be out of sync.

-
Steps I took on i386:

# cd /usr/ports
# cvs -d anon...@anoncvs.ca.openbsd.org:/cvs up -Pd
# rm -rf /usr/ports/mail/mozilla-thunderbird
 (had to do this first or git would not do its cloning)
# cd /usr/ports/mail/
# git clone -b tb5 http://rhaalovely.net/git/mozilla-thunderbird/
# cd mozilla-thunderbird/
# make install  /home/brett/Desktop/output

Way too much output to post I think (I can send whole file if you like),
last part of /home/brett/Desktop/output file:

Link to /usr/ports/packages/i386/ftp/mozilla-thunderbird-5.0.tgz

Radare build does not actually use Vala. But radare does shellout to valac.
See libr/lang/p/vala.c

You can also build your own analyses in Vala outside radare and link
radare's libs.

 Attached is an update from todays hg with more bugfixes (thanks

 I'm pretty sure you don't need that. You can put all the vala stuffs
 into the main package and only build depends on vala, not run_depends.

Well, you're free to have a look at ogle code and improve it.

One big problem is that to improve this, you need financial resources,
or at least a copy of the DVDs involved... I remember the guys at chalmers
were asking for DVDs with problems to try out.

Re: [update] mozilla-thunderbird 5.0

2011-07-05 Thread Nigel Taylor

Hi,

I did get mozilla thunderbird 5.0, to build on i386. Built the package
not tested. I would have uninstalled the previous version for my build.

xpcom.18.0 is from mozilla thunderbird 5.0, to create the lightning
package this version must be installed.

Having thunderbird 3.1.11 installed will satisfy the
LIB_DFEPENDS-lightning = ${BUILD_PKGPATH},-main, which is why the
libraries mismatch. To force it to expect thunderbird 5.0 to be
installed, something like this

LIB_DEPENDS-lightning = STEM-${MOZILLA_VERSION}:${BUILD_PKGPATH},-main
is required.

I wiped the previous build and installed mozilla-thunderbird-3.1.11, and
tried the above, that appears to have worked. Wasn't expected to work I
was expecting some error message, guess the package create checks in
/usr/ports/pobj/mozilla-thunderbird-5.0 for the library now.

Regards

Nigel Taylor

at /usr/libdata/perl5/OpenBSD/PkgCreate.pm line 1219

Possibly using -current kernel has caused an issue (generic kernel built
yesterday from cvs source, base system was June 24 snapshot). I don't
know if that would cause the above library version to be out of sync.

-
Steps I took on i386:

# cd /usr/ports
# cvs -d anon...@anoncvs.ca.openbsd.org:/cvs up -Pd
# rm -rf /usr/ports/mail/mozilla-thunderbird
(had to do this first or git would not do its cloning)
# cd /usr/ports/mail/
# git clone -b tb5 http://rhaalovely.net/git/mozilla-thunderbird/
# cd mozilla-thunderbird/
# make install  /home/brett/Desktop/output

Way too much output to post I think (I can send whole file if you like),
last part of /home/brett/Desktop/output file:

Link to /usr/ports/packages/i386/ftp/mozilla-thunderbird-5.0.tgz
Link to /usr/ports/packages/i386/cdrom/mozilla-thunderbird-5.0.tgz
`/usr/ports/pobj/mozilla-thunderbird-5.0/fake-i386/.fake_done' is up to
date.

packaging error in x11/gtk+2

2011-07-05 Thread Amit Kulkarni
Hi,

I just compiled everything to current.
I am doing a dpb based compile which was failing in package of gtk+2.

I did a make clean and I can't figure out why its
happening. I did do a make plist after getting the problem but still
there's the same issue.

Anybody else running into this?

thanks,
amit

libgailutil is 26.0 now,, it must have picked up an old installed lib.
As dpb(1) says, some packages only build on a clean machine right now

thought you had said the opposite.

I picked up the libc minor bump. This was on a clean machine with
1) rm -rf /usr/local/*
2) rm -rf /usr/ports/packages/*
3) rm -rf /usr/ports/plist/*

When I faced the problem in dpb, I went into the ports directory and
then tried to do a simple make make package.

thanks

Update: devel/ruby-home_run 1.0.2 - 1.0.3

Only change is to fix a segfault in rb_ary_store during extension
initialization that I've only seen on OpenBSD amd64 and that goes away
if you attempt to debug it.

I'll be committing later this week unless I hear objections.

Ok, I ran pkg_delete mozilla-thunderbird (to remove thunderbird-3.1.11).
Now, the fifth thunderbird, she soars like an eagle. Installed and
running fine on i386, and just like firefox 5, seems faster than the old
