hmm you're right, i must be confusing it with something else that was safe and already fixed On Wed, Sep 28, 2011 at 02:47:47AM +0200, Marc Espie wrote: On Tue, Sep 27, 2011 at 11:45:09PM +0100, Nicholas Marriott wrote: This would make it build... dunno why this was missed before :-/. IIRC libbfd plays games with arrays for ELF that cause warnings, probably easy enough to shut up in code if someone wants to look. That's definitely NOT a solution. We're talking about an actual buffer overflow here, and a bad one, since the code in that version of gdb is fucked enough to #define a size TWICE to different values. Who knows what other problems that encurs besides a buffer overflow in memcpy ? Sorry, but the actual problem must be fixed... apparently, has even been noticed in more recent versions of gdb.

Hi, this is the diff to update Python 2.7.1 to Python 2.7.2. Before applying the diff, please save the regress log of Python 2.7.1 to compare. ports building not updating libs and packages
I thought the ports system was supposed to go through and make sure that all libs and packages are updated before vlc updates/installs. Am I not doing something right? Is there a switch that I am missing, or something I need to add to 'sudo make -j2 update clean'? I had similar issues with chromium, gimp, and libreoffice. All of them gave me a something akin to the error below... I'm running -current from the evening 27 September 2011... Re: UPDATE: devel/py-buildbot,py-buildslave (from maintainer)
Hi Remi, I have read the README, and I have a question: is there any reason to not have FLAVOR postgresql/mysql/xxx instead of documenting this ? Well, it's just RUN_DEPENDS, so package content wouldn't differ at all (other than the added dependency). Also, some packages (like www/py-django) already do it that way, so I've just copied existing behavior. To be honest, I don't have any preference on this and I can go either way if you or others have strong opinion on FLAVORs vs documenting optional RUN_DEPENDS for different databases. Best regards, Piotr Sikora piotr.sik...@frickle.com
WIP: net/transmission 2.40b2
Transmission 2.40 isn't out yet, but meanwhile here's a port update to beta2 for those who always need the latest version. I tried switching the GTK client to GTK3, but it crashed somewhere in libgtk-3. It's essentially untested. I haven't actually transferred any files with it.
