  IIRC libbfd plays games with arrays for ELF that cause warnings,
  probably easy enough to shut up in code if someone wants to look.

 That's definitely NOT a solution. We're talking about an actual
 buffer overflow here, and a bad one, since the code in that version
 of gdb is fucked enough to #define a size TWICE to different values.
 Who knows what other problems that encurs besides a buffer overflow in
 memcpy ?

 Sorry, but the actual problem must be fixed... apparently, has even
 been noticed in more recent versions of gdb.

[UPDATE] Python 2.7.2

2011-09-28 Thread Remi Pointel
Hi,

this is the diff to update Python 2.7.1 to Python 2.7.2.

Before applying the diff, please save the regress log of Python 2.7.1 to
compare.

To test:
$ cd /usr/ports/lang/python/2.7  make regress
$ cp /usr/ports/pobj/Python-2.7.1/regress.log /somewhere
$ apply my diff
$ cd /usr/ports/lang/python/2.7  make regress

Please send me the two regress log to see the diff.

I have only tested on amd64, will test on sparc64.

Thanks,

Remi.

autosalon24.pl - zapytanie o zgodę

2011-09-28 Thread autosalon24.pl
Szanowni Państwo!

Autosalon24.pl to nowoczesny portal internetowy, którego pracownicy w imieniu
klientów - firm i osób fizycznych - negocjują ceny wybranych modeli samochodów
nowych, demonstracyjnych i używanych u polskich dealerów, a uzyskane w ten

handlowych dotyczących naszej działalności, a w szczególności atrakcyjnych
ofert na samochody nowe i używane.

Jeżeli wyrażają Państwo zgodę, proszę kliknąć w poniższy link, bądź odpisać na
maila z treścią 'TAK'

http://autosalon24.pl/pl/mail/active/i/712769/h/3201aed9e2ac0c4aa7dc915fba75adbe735c74cd

Jeśli nie życzą sobie Państwo uzyskiwać od Autosalon24.pl jakichkolwiek
informacji handlowych, proszę nie odpowiadać na tego maila.

pozdrawiamy,

ports building not updating libs and packages

2011-09-28 Thread Bryan
I thought the ports system was supposed to go through and make sure that
all libs and packages are updated before vlc updates/installs. Am I not
doing something right? Is there a switch that I am missing, or
something I need to add to 'sudo make -j2 update clean'? I had similar
issues with chromium, gimp, and libreoffice. All of them gave me a
something akin to the error below...

Re: UPDATE: devel/py-buildbot,py-buildslave (from maintainer)

2011-09-28 Thread Piotr Sikora

Hi Remi,

I have read the README, and I have a question:
is there any reason to not have FLAVOR postgresql/mysql/xxx instead of
documenting this ?

Well, it's just RUN_DEPENDS, so package content wouldn't differ at all
(other than the added dependency). Also, some packages (like www/py-django)
already do it that way, so I've just copied existing behavior.

To be honest, I don't have any preference on this and I can go either way if
you or others have strong opinion on FLAVORs vs documenting optional
RUN_DEPENDS for different databases.

Best regards,
Piotr Sikora  piotr.sik...@frickle.com

WIP: net/transmission 2.40b2

2011-09-28 Thread Christian Weisgerber
Transmission 2.40 isn't out yet, but meanwhile here's a port update
to beta2 for those who always need the latest version.

I tried switching the GTK client to GTK3, but it crashed somewhere
in libgtk-3.

It's essentially untested. I haven't actually transferred any files
with it.
