X? is it possible to drop into ddb from X? you're probably already in DDB (this could be confirmed with boot r) and seeing as it's i386 and occurring opening a browser, it wouldn't surprise me if you're sitting at a vmmap-related panic, I hit one recently. if your machine preserves the dmesg buffer between boots, you could blindly type trace to get more info before you reboot. if you want to try another snapshot, make sure it's at least the Apr 2 one in case anything changed in not-yet-committed diffs.

sysutils/xbattbar patch to add time date display
Brynet (maintainer) suggested to send this to ports@. This patch adds an option (-T) to display time and date in xbattbar's popup window. Personally, I find this very useful: I don't have to run any other panel anymore. While there, I added headers to fix some of the the warnings. Not sure if it's okay to add functionality like this to ports, though, but upstream is not responding to mails. The man page diff is especially bad, sorry for that. Any comments, oks? Re: dmenu: update to 4.5
works fine here on amd64 with last spectrwm. :) El 04/03/12 17:16, Gleydson Soares escribió: hello here is a diff that update x11/dmenu to 4.5. following changelog: * Detects monitor based on input focus, not just pointer location. * Token matching instead of just substrings. * XIM composition support. * Paste from clipboard with C-S-y. * stest(1) replaces lsx(1). * M-[Gghjkl] restored for vi-like navigation. * And a couple of bug fixes. works for me, i am running it daily +spectrwm looking for comments, tests and OKs, -- Sending from my Computer.

Re: sysutils/xbattbar patch to add time date display
On Wed, Apr 04, 2012 at 12:06:09AM +0400, Alexander Polakov wrote: Brynet (maintainer) suggested to send this to ports@. Upstream hasn't released an update since 2000/2001. If anyone has a laptop, you might want to check out xbattbar, it isn't nearly as invasive as some other battery monitoring utilities. Alex's addition doesn't change that. It fits well with cwm. Any comments, oks? -Bryan.
Re: [wip] webkit 1.8.0
mips64el report: webkit-gtk3 (epiphany) suffers from some sort of regression - now crashes on startup (previously, it worked the same as the gtk2 version). I'll look into it but I think it's something with javascriptcore. webkit-gtk2 (surf, midori, xxxterm) has no regressions (no progress either, but that was to be expected) It feels faster, for what that's worth. Thanks. ~Brian
PHP 5.3 won't compile on mips64
Hello everyone! I'm trying to compile PHP 5.3 on my mips64 (sgi) machine, because I not found this prebuilt package in 5.0 or snapshot repository. In file included from /usr/ports/pobj/php-5.3.10/php-5.3.10/sapi/fpm/fpm/fpm_scoreboard.h:15, from /usr/ports/pobj/php-5.3.10/php-5.3.10/sapi/fpm/fpm/fpm.c:21: /usr/ports/pobj/php-5.3.10/php-5.3.10/sapi/fpm/fpm/fpm_atomic.h:142:2: error: #error Unsupported processor. Should I open a ticket about this bug on bugs.php.net or the problem can be solved right here? Unfortunately, I do not have the experience and knowledge in such low-level things. Anyway, for now, this port should be marked as broken at least for mips64. I do not think that anyone would be happy to see the same error after a couple of hours compiling :) Also, doxygen port in this platform can compile only by removing O2 flag or adding --english-only option to configure flags, but as far as I remember someone has already reported on this issue. Best regards, Val.
