After pkg_add ffmpeg build finishes successfully. I don't see that actually

Good catch. ffmpeg is only used by the wx frontend, which is already

If anyone *does* want the wx frontend, feel free to fix it to not need

removing sysutils/heartbeat

2012-07-09 Thread Sebastian Reitenbach
Hi,

is somebody using sysutils/heartbeat? The version in ports is old, and with the
new gnutls update, even broken.
I cant' remember getting any requests/complaints about it, so I wonder if
someone is out there, using it at all.
I maintain it, but don't use it anymore since years, so would better get rid of
it, than wasting time on fixing it.

If nobody speaks up, it will be moved to the attic instead of fixing it.

 FWIW, I agree with Matthew.

Oh well, but we keep the framework that can generate multiple hashes if

MAINTAINER UPDATE: cad/xtrkcad

2012-07-09 Thread Sebastian Reitenbach
Hi,

below update of cad/xtrkcad from 4.0.3 to 4.2.0-beta1.
I'm waiting since December from getting this beta state to a release,
but that just did not happened yet. Now taking this beta, which allows
to get rid of those huge patches.
Tested and works well for me on i386.

OK?

Hi,

please find attached a port for sic-1.1.

Description:
sic is an extremely simple IRC client. It consists of less than 250
lines of code. It is the little brother of irc it.

More info:
http://tools.suckless.org/sic

The port and patches are modeled after other suckless ports (dwm/dmenu/...).

Please test, comment and give OKs.

New: audio/opus

2012-07-09 Thread Christian Weisgerber
There's work underway on an IETF-standardized audio codec:
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-codec-opus-16

Here's a port for the preliminary reference implementation,
opus-0.9.14.

The Opus codec is designed to handle a wide range of interactive
audio applications, including Voice over IP, videoconferencing,
in-game chat, and even remote live music performances. It can
scale from low bit-rate narrowband speech to very high quality
  stereo music.

  http://opus-codec.org/

If you want to test it, there's a little program opus_demo in the
build directory. Works on i386 and sparc64 and with each other's
output.

I have NOT checked fixed point mode, on arm or elsewhere.

I'm not sure if we want to import this now or wait for the 1.0
release that will coincide with the publication of the RFC.

FIX: ocamlfind native compilation

2012-07-09 Thread Edd Barrett
Hi,

I noticed last week that native compilation is busted in ocaml when you
use ocamlfind. I just spotted the problem and I see that Chris Zimmerman
spotted it too in a previous email.

Eventually findlib needs a proper update, but I don't think now is the time.

OK?

Regarding dwm, my port, my rules. Ok, well just my color scheme then.

Re: New: audio/opus and audio/opus-tools

2012-07-09 Thread Christian Weisgerber
Christian Weisgerber:

There's work underway on an IETF-standardized audio codec:
 https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-codec-opus-16

Here's a port for the preliminary reference implementation,
 opus-0.9.14.

And here's the companion port for opus-tools-0.1.2.

Opus-tools provides command-line utilities to encode, inspect,
  and decode .opus files.

Tested on i386 and sparc64.
(If upstream proves interested, I can do a neater integration of
sndio with autoconf, but for the port this will do.)

I've had this in my tree for about two years now. It would be
nice if it could get committed along with NZBget.

Ping.

I've had this in my tree for a while too. I haven't objectively
measured, but NZBget seems to be much faster than news/hellanzb.

NZBget is also actively developed. The latest release was in
April 2012. Hellanzb's latest release was in 2007 and appears to
have spam on the frontpage of its wiki as I type this.

In fact, I initially ported this because hellanzb stopped working
after a python update (which has since been fixed in the hellanzb
port).
