It's not a bug, it's just ugly. haskell-platform depends on devel/haddock (both subpackages haddock and hs-haddock). To build haddock, hs-ghc-paths is needed. So hs-ghc-paths is built without generating haddock documentation, causing the register.sh script which is run by pkg_add(1) during the installation of hs-ghc-paths to print those warning messages. New: multimedia/mediainfo
Here's a port for MediaInfo 0.7.69: | MediaInfo is a convenient unified display of the most relevant technical | and tag data for video and audio files. This is the CLI version only. As far as I understand, the GUI version just presents the same information in a window. Not worth the effort. This is software that is also intended for non-POSIX platforms, so it's all a bit icky. The tarball I picked is a convenience package of ZenLib, MediaInfoLib, and MediaInfo proper. They all need to be configured and built individually and it took some hammering to get this into the ports framework. The components are also distributed separately and we _could_ split it all up into three ports, but I doubt there's much interest in freestanding ZenLib and MediaInfoLib. -- Christian naddy Weisgerber na...@mips.inka.de mediainfo-201406040.tar.gz Description: Binary data

I would prefer to fix line-endings in the files which are patched, it's not strictly necessary for ports, but otherwise emailed patches tend to break, I normally use perl -i -pe 's/\r$$//' file... for this. Personally I'd use DISTNAME/EXTRACT_SUFX rather than setting DISTFILES, either way works though. Otherwise: works fine for me, and provides a bit more information and is easier to read than ffprobe so I'm in favour of it going in. I agree with using the bundle in this case; if something else turns up that needs any of the libraries we could look at separating them then.

With the mpd 0.18.10 update m4a playback support went a way for me. In order to regain m4a playback support in mpd I had to enable ffmpeg support. With this a number of other formats come along with it. Can others confirm m4a files are no longer found or play with the current mpd and that the attached diff brings back said support? Thanks. And to clarify a bit, in 0.18 the mp4ff plugin was removed which provided m4a support from audio/faad so it appears ffmpeg is the only option now for m4a support. -- James Turner
Building perl ports and busted paths
OK, so I'm working on an update to a Perl port and I see this === Building package for p5-CGI-Application-4.50p0 Create /usr/packages/amd64/no-arch/p5-CGI-Application-4.50p0.tgz ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-CGI-Application-4.50/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/CGI::Application.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-CGI-Application-4.50/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/CGI::Application::Mailform.3p: fopen: No such file or directory So I tried building another perl port and found this. === Building package for p5-YAML-0.84 Create /usr/packages/amd64/no-arch/p5-YAML-0.84.tgz ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Loader::Base.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Dumper.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Error.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Tag.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Types.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/Test::YAML.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Loader.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Node.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Marshall.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Any.3p: fopen: No such file or directory ///sr/ports/pobj/p5-YAML-0.84/fake-amd64/usr/local/man/man3p/YAML::Dumper::Base.3p: fopen: No such file or directory Link to /usr/packages/amd64/all/p5-YAML-0.84.tgz Link to /usr/packages/amd64/ftp/p5-YAML-0.84.tgz Link to /usr/packages/amd64/cdrom/p5-YAML-0.84.tgz Umm what might be breaking the path by replacing /usr with ///sr ?
