Thanks for the improvements to my update.

While I would like this committed, I am actually especially interested
in whether someone has a feed that breaks 3.10 in some way. I get the
feeling that maybe some OpenBSD devs are regular users of rss2email
2.71 (sthen@, maybe jca@?), so they might have some nontrivial feeds
to test the config migration to 3.10 and all of the other new stuff.

Any testers (and bug reports, diffs) are welcome of course.

We're still far away from switching to Python 3 by default, but would it
make sense to check `${MODPY_VERSION} == ${MODPY_DEFAULT_VERSION_2}'
here instead of implying that not building the Python 3 flavour equals
Python 2?

That way switching from 2 to 3 continues to work; it also seems
logically more obvious to me... just a thought.

Re: Add a few comments to Makefile.template

2019-09-13 Thread Thomas Frohwein
I already find the current Makefile.template quite wordy and I think
most of the suggested lines belong in bsd.port.mk(5). I would rather
go for a clear hint at the top of the template that new porters should
study bsd.port.mk(5) and the porting guide in the FAQ.

I'm okay with this one. It doesn't add more lines and nudges the porter
in the right direction.

How about: #HOMEPAGE = https:// ??? URL
This might be enough to get more new ports to go for https without
adding more lines.

All other suggested changes are too much IMO and are more of a tutorial
than a template.

buids and works fine here:

openbsd-dev$ doh trusted.com.br
trusted.com.br from https://dns.cloudflare.com/dns-query
TTL: 3064 seconds
A: 45.76.92.19

Noticed a bug though, seems argc is not well-handled:

openbsd-dev$ doh -t
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Also, Would be useful installing the README as pkg-readme.

If DOH URL is left out, the Cloudflare DOH server will be used. See also

Unfortunately this is going to become more of a problem, since Go is pushing
towards the use of Go modules and fetching of dependencies at build time,
rather than vendoring code. We'll have to figure out how we address this

go.port.mk: poison GOPROXY

2019-09-13 Thread Stuart Henderson
Ports are not allowed network access during build. This is enforced on
the main bulk build machines and for users with PORTS_PRIVSEP=Yes and
the default pf.conf "block..user _pbuild" rule, but not everybody has
that.

Would it be OK to poison GOPROXY in the environment so that dev's who
don't enforce blocking network access also see a failure? It looks like
this:

go: github.com/BurntSushi/toml@v0.3.1: invalid proxy URL scheme (must be https,
http, file): ports://should.not_fetch_at_buildtime/

net/dnscrypt-proxy now attempts to fetch from the network, this is
blocked on the main ports build machines and for anyone using
PORTS_PRIVSEP=3DYes in mk.conf with the default "block return out log
proto {tcp udp} user _pbuild" pf rule. Any advice on how to fix this?

(dnscrypt-proxy was updated recently, but the previous version has
the same failure with new go).

Better to set EPOCH rather than modifying the version number.

It isn't new in your diff, but www/nghttp2 should not be in LIB_DEPENDS,
it is an inter-library dependency pulled in by curl.

build failures: 3 ports (flatzebra -> SDL_mixer.la related)

2019-09-13 Thread Stuart Henderson
games/burgerspace, games/cosmosmash, games/quadrupleback all failed like
this:

/usr/bin/libtool --tag=CXX--mode=link c++
-DPKGSOUNDDIR=\"/usr/local/share/sounds/burgerspace\"
-DDEFAULT_UDP_SERVER_PORT=49152 -I../src/images
-I/usr/local/include/flatzebra-0.1 -I/usr/local/include

libcore_la-EnemySprite.lo
-L/usr/local/lib -pthread -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lflatzebra-0.1 -lSDL -lSDL_image
-lSDL_mixer
Cannot read /pobj/sdl-mixer-1.2.12/fake-i386/usr/local/lib/libSDL_mixer.la: No
such file or directory
 at /usr/libdata/perl5/LT/LaLoFile.pm line 50.

[...]

Somehow the fake-install path got written to the .la files for flatzebra
and sdl-mixer:

$ grep -R pobj lib/*la
lib/libSDL_mixer.la:libdir='/pobj/sdl-mixer-1.2.12/fake-i386/usr/local/lib'
lib/libflatzebra-0.1.la:dependency_libs='-pthread -L/usr/local/lib
-L/usr/X11R6/lib /usr/local/lib/libSDL.la /usr/local/lib/libSDL_image.la
/pobj/sdl-mixer-1.2.12/fake-i386/usr/local/lib/libSDL_mixer.la
/usr/local/lib/libiconv.la -lm -lsndio -lusbhid -lz -ljpeg
/usr/local/lib/libpng.la /usr/local/lib/libtiff.la /usr/local/lib/libwebp.la
/usr/local/lib/libogg.la /usr/local/lib/libvorbis.la
/usr/local/lib/libmikmod.la /usr/local/lib/libvorbisfile.la
/usr/local/lib/libFLAC.la /usr/local/lib/libsmpeg.la -lSDL'

There have been no substantial changes to any of these ports in years,
and no recent changes to libtool - any ideas?

Build logs for flatzebra and sdl-mixer attached in case they're any help.
