Not portable: other Unix clones have setrlimit, but the meaning of RDATA_LIMIT is different. In some systems, RDATA_LIMIT only limits sbrk(2), so one can bypass the limit by using anonymous mmap(2) to allocate memory. OpenBSD is more strict, because our RDATA_LIMIT counts both sbrk(2) and anonymous mmap(2). malloc(3) probably uses anonymous mmap(2), so those other systems allow malloc(3) to take gigabytes of memory from anonymous mmap(2) while ignoring RDATA_LIMIT. For stack size, I'm not sure. If you are on the main thread, try RLIMIT_STACK. If you are on another thread, try pthread_attr_setstacksize(3).

[new] sysutils/es-srme - resize softraid crypto volumes
I wrote this small, ~8K utility to resize softraid crypto volumes back in March, after a thread on misc that highlighted that there was not already code to do this: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc=164812563223554=2 The source has been downloaded a number of times from our website: https://www.exoticsilicon.com/research/resizing_softraid_volumes ... and there have been no complaints so far. Since people are either using it, or at least interested in it, I've created a port, (attached). Incidentally, in the process of writing es-srme, I discovered a kernel bug, which I posted about on tech, but which has not yet been fixed in CVS: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech=164834052628572=2 sysutils.es-srme.tar.gz Description: application/tar-gz

DESCR is also overcomplicated and doesn't really say what it does. the text on https://cloud-init.io/ isn't quite right to use directly either but it's a lot closer to what somebody needs to know to decide if the port is useful to them. FLAVOR =python3 FLAVORS = python3 these are more for Python libraries/modules; this seems to be more standalone software which doesn't use them. (generally if it's a "py-something" port then it wants FLAVOR, otherwise not) TEST_DEPENDS = [...] devel/py-test${MODPY_FLAVOR} \ drop devel/py-test from this list, it is already set by MODPY_PYTEST about the tests. it looks like most things work but some of the hyper-v things aren't entirely portable, and netlink of course is linux-only anyway. and they only go as far as testing things that upstream has decided to test and aren't a full indication that the software does something useful on OpenBSD, actual runtime testing is probably more important for this to make sure it integrates properly. I can't help much more than this, I don't really do cloud stuff
