UPDATE:cxxtools, tntnet; RESUMBIT: tntdb

2008-05-24 Thread Vijay Ramesh
This is an update for cxxtools from 1.4.6 -> 1.4.7
and tntnet 1.6.1 -> 1.6.2

Also a resubmit for tntdb. Now it has multiple flavors for each of the
database drivers and the documentation and should be cleaner in general

% cat pkg/DESCR
Tntdb is a c++-class-library for easy database-access. It creates a simple
database independent layer, which loads drivers when needed. Currently
postgresql, sqlite3 and mysql are supported.

The main goals are:

* easy to use
* safe - use prepared statements with named parameters
* fast - only a thin layer

RESUBMIT : libCLAP-0.81

2008-04-21 Thread Vijay Ramesh

Here is a resubmit of libCLAP, I think it's more stable now.

DESCR
CLAP is a highly featured Command Line Argument Parser. It supports multiple
subcommands and switches, which in turn can have multiple subcommands and
switches themselves, ... and so on. Using CLAP, you can define a complex
graph

of relationships between options. Then, just pass in the arguments from your
main () function and CLAP will hand back an Execution Plan, which is a
sequence

of execution to follow, including options set at each stage of execution.

NEW: bunny the fuzzer

2007-11-01 Thread Vijay Ramesh
Bunny uses automatically generated C-level instrumentation to focus on
runtime inputs observed to trigger new control flow paths or interesting
parameter variations - and to bail out early on dead-end fuzzing routes.

This notably improves flow path coverage and overall quality of the
fuzzing process.

The tool is designed to maintain a near-native execution speed, and
requires virtually no setup, even when dealing with complex and large
codebases. This is probably a major improvement over previous closed
loop solutions.

GDM

2007-10-20 Thread Vijay Ramesh
When I updated GDM recently, it kept failing to launch because it couldn't the
execute the scripts in /etc/X11/gdm/.
Is there are reason these aren't chmoded by default? It just seems inconvenient
to have to chmod those scripts every time after I update. I'm just wondering,
if this was done for some specific reason or was just overlooked, because it
wasn't like this before current switched numbers to 4.2.

Thanks,
Vijay Ramesh

directoryassistant makefile

2007-03-30 Thread Vijay Ramesh
for databases/directoryassistant,

The makefile checks for RUN_DEPENDS:

py-ldap-*:databases/py-ldap

I believe the package name changed to python-ldap?

should this not be :

python-ldap-*:databases/py-ldap

sdl build failed

2007-03-28 Thread Vijay Ramesh
On, current sdl fails to build.

Error: bad shared lib version /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.9.0(X11.>=10)

This seems to work just fine with 9.0.

if someone could just change :
"WANTLIB+= X11.>=10 Xext" to
"WANTLIB+= X11.>=9 Xext"
in the makefile, I think that should fix it.

Re: tools for updating?

2007-03-22 Thread Vijay Ramesh
Well,
I am working on something that will work very similar to emerge from Gentoo, as
far as the feel of the program. The main goal is to cut down all that time
moving into and out of directories by hand. I'll post on here when its done.
I'm not sure if that what you are looking for though.

It didn't find the libs for me. It yelled about pkgconfig first, then if you
take that out, it didn't find the right versions of all the gtk+2, glib2, and
pango libraries.
