2018-04-09 Thread Gonzalo L. Rodriguez

There is someone out there using CenterIM? I am not using it for a very long
time
now, and there is so many new hipsters messengers now, so.. I want to burn it
with fire.

CenterIM-5.0.0beta2

CenterIM is a text-mode multi-protocol instant messaging client for Linux,
*BSD, Solaris and other Unices. The program supports most of widely used IM
protocols, including AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, QQ, XMPP (Jabber), Yahoo.

CenterIM is a powerful communication tool that can be used through SSH, without
the need for VNC/Remote Desktop. CenterIM started as a fork of CenterICQ.

Development has ceased on CenterIM4 in favor of CenterIM5, which is a ground up
rewrite and uses the libpurple library as a communication backend.

After building it, there seems to be a missing header inclusion or a
 nasty typedef here :
 In file included from connwrap.c:5:
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:74: warning: 'struct in_addr' declared inside
 parameter list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:74: warning: its scope is only this definition or
declaration, which is probably not what you want
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:75: warning: 'struct in_addr' declared inside
 parameter list

Typical portability stuff. People tend to assume that arpa/inet.h
includes netinet/in.h, which is not the case on OpenBSD.

Out of curiosity... why is it not the case on OpenBSD?

It picks gpgme/-error if available :
centerim-4.22.10(net/centerim):
Missing lib: gpg-error.3 (/usr/local/bin/centerim) (NOT REACHABLE)
Missing lib: gpgme.17 (/usr/local/bin/centerim) (NOT REACHABLE)

It also seems to rebuild more stuff during make fake, which is deeply wrong.

Other than that builds and looks good portswise, i dont have a use for
it so if someone really using it can fix the remaining issues, test and
confirm it's running fine, itd be ok to import it.

yes, this will be missing netinet/in.h
