FWIW, it replaces client part of Samba 3 just fine, tested a few months ago on i386. Yes but the existing Samba 3 port relies on external libs, that others ports depend on as well. Samba 4 conflict with those. --enable-external-libtdb=yes \ --enable-external-libtalloc=yes \ and ports/security/heimdal/ will be an issue. Ian McWilliam
